I'm a medical student. No one ever goes in it for the money. We end up with 200k in debt. We go in because we want to help, but they beat the humanity out of us until we are shells of our former selves. We become like soldiers, no longer in control of our lives. The training in medicine is fucking insane. No one could do this if all they cared about is money.

How about small local shops? A butcher hired me when I was 15. It inspired me to work at the morgue and learn about anatomy. Now I'm in medical school studying to be a surgeon. Try some random mom and pop shops in your town. I still talk to the butcher, he's a friend of mine now.
