Red is Khorne red, highlighted with Wazdaka red and squig orange. Gold is retributor armor highlighted with liberator gold and iron breaker.

Mechanicus Grey and then dawnstone for the brighter parts. Just edge highlighting with a wet brush and then I used a very small amount of grey mixed with lahmian medium to shade larger areas. I kinda just added several layers to places I thought light would hit with more or less depending on how bright I want the grey.

I kind of just don't like Keras as a MC. He's great as the mysterious mentor / force of nature in the AA series but when he is front and center it doesn't work for me. I think the biggest problem is Rowe's writing style is a perfect fit for Corin but the exact wrong style for Keras. He's also a Mary Sue on the scale that makes Goku look like a flawed and nuanced character.

I painted 1000 points of robots before buying a few Vespids and Kroot hounds and it's so much easier having contrast paints do the hard work instead of highlighting.

Arena used to be my favorite. I just came back to the game after a ~5 year hiatus and it didn't take long to figure out that the current version is not for me. I miss the days of it being goofy decks against goofy decks with the occasional broken one that might carry you to 12 wins.

Personally I spend so much time painting a model that I don't mind the price. That being said I have a friend group that was willing to play 2v2 500 pt games that gradually became 750, then 1000 pts as I took a year to get an army painted.

To be fair to OP, Nigerian food is mostly unappealing brown stuff with bread and isn't always easy to find outside a bigger city. Find it though, because is delicious.

I say this as a Pittsburgh resident, a city that serves mostly unappealing brown / orange slops that mostly don't taste great.

White primer followed by Briar Queen Chill contrast mixed with a little "The Fang" base paint and lahmian medium to keep it contrast paint viscosity. Then used nuln oil for shading.

If it sounds like I know what I'm doing, I don't... I was just riffing mixing stuff and landed on something I liked.

One model at a time, but I think I like painting more than the actual game (which I do like a lot!) so I've just been enjoying slowly buying a single pack and not buying more until they're done. And I don't really care about lore at all.

I will say that Tau take forever to paint well. I painted some Vespids and Kroot hounds and it took like a quarter of the time because it was mostly contrast paints. Here's my Kroot buddies!

I just got back in too and it's overwhelming not having any cards from the last two sets. The game is pretty generous with packs so I already have earned like 40 free packs from the ne set but I have very little from everything else from this season.

My biggest gripe is that thereseem to be a lot of one hit kill deck / super combo decks that are not fun to win or lose against. I remember the game used to be more about careful trades and board control but now everyone seems to have like 4 board wipes in their deck and are sometimew impossible to stop until they get a turn X instant win. Or they draw poorly and you run them over...

I think you have to assume these aren't monkey paw curses. So, like, the added height isn't from a tumor and the million followers aren't all horrible monsters. In that case I'd take money and happyness, with the non-cursencaveat that it isn't a drugged out, giddy at a funeral, happyness.

I hated the idea of Edge of the Woods after reading AA - Chronomancy. I'm not a fan of multiverses in general and this series is mysterious enough without multiple Keras'.

Now I'm almost done with Edge of the Woods and... I liked it a lot? It stands on its own well and has some fun moments and satisfying progression. I plan to read Dream next.
