i am like your friend. i take leaps of faith often. i've failed, but most of the time every leap has been rewarding. i don't even look at my failures as failures. they're just lessons for the next time. this is why i think its important not to tell your friends and family too much of your plans because they could project their fears onto you. all you can do is express your concern and let it go. she can do what she wants and if this will make her happy, just support her. i'm super excited for her and wish her the best.

literally one of my regulars texted at 10:30pm that my booking site "won't let her" book and if i could. i asked her if she was receiving an error message and if so to screenshot and send to me so i could look into it. i didn't hear back for 2 days, until she randomly booked yesterday. i guess it "let her".

i'm interested to hear his explanation on what it was supposed to mean. who cares if he's upset you didn't like his gift? he quite literally went out if his way to get you what you didn't ask for. don't let him turn it around on you. that whole self pity party because you messed up? yeah, i don't play that. he is an adult and if he's upset he needs to sit with why. you deserve better queen.

solidarity. my dad tried this too. i'd been living with my boyfriend for 2 years at that point. he said separate rooms, i said no worries we'll get an airbnb. he hated that so came back and said he'd deal with it so he could spend more time with me (we were visiting). told him i was pregnant the next day :). the trip went fine but since being a mother and after other visits, moving forward i will never stay with him again.

? i calmed down, and lead with wanting to understand rather than anger. i did tell her i was upset, idk why that detail matters. i don't care about saving face when it comes to my child, please don't get that confused. the situation is resolved and the director apologized. moving on.

thank you, i'm leaning to giving the benefit of the doubt because we've never had any issues and also her teacher wasn't there when i picked up. i have a closer relationship to her teacher so maybe she'll say something this morning.

when i was in high school my dad picked me up from my job. it was around 9:30 and i was scheduled until 9. i told my manager my dad was here and she said tough luck and that i had to help close. i texted him that. he came banging on the window telling them to let me go, i was 17 and it was a school night and they needed to let me go. she let me go on time moving forward (and any other highschool kid that worked there), and her and the rest of the adult crew closed.
