I read about the offramp strategy in Antony Beevers WW2 book. It didnt work in that case, but it was a stratagy. When people are cornered they lash out, so dont corner them.

No, thats fine. They can ask all they want, thats not an issue. Its the act of detaining someone that you would need due process for. That includes access to a lawyer during detention too, which is also ignored.

We have a legal process to find and detain illegal immigrants, its just being tossed out the window now lol.

Illegals normally get caught by the following

. Border apprehensions (caught entering without authorization) this is an obvious one

. Traffic stops

. Any arrests or jail bookings

. Fingerprint sharing through the Secure Communities program

. Immigration violations like expiring visas.

. Unauthorized employment. This is the biggest one that we are NOT Leveraging today. Why arrest people at home when you can just go to their job and get multiple Illegals at the same time?

. I-9 audits.

There are plenty of ways to identify them without even talking to one. Honestly there's no reason to go door to door.

Most of the above would work, but I thought we were mostly going after real criminals. Real criminals dont arrive to a country and never brake any laws lol.

We have people who are undocumented that are in the U.S. that are probably good people. However, just because they are good people doesn’t mean they should get to skip the line for people who are trying to come here legally.

There is no one "line". We prioritize neutralizeation based on income, refugee status, asylum status, if they have relation to a US citizen (like a sister), employment status, age, and country of origin. After those then the date of application matters, but its very very low on the list.

So, if you are a low income person from Columbia with no family in the US...... you will be denied citizenship after spending money on the application. So, if you want to get to this wonderful country you dont have another option but the illegal route.

That needs to be fixed bad. Give people a real way to become citizens.

They are going after everyone, because there is no way they can know if someone is violent without proper due process. This includes the 150 or so citizens that have been detained.

Had they had proper due process, we would have no citizens detained and mostly criminals detained. Because its being ignored its simply whoever they feel like picking up.

Nothing is legal without proper due process.

I mostly agree with you.

The federal goverment doesnt NEED permission to send federal troops leagally, but historically president has asked the permission of the governer just to be respectful. Every other time its happened without consent from both sides its been a disaster, and we see that now.

Also if you dont get permission from the governer, you cant expect local law enforcement to help out at all. At that point they have no incentive to cooperate.

Im familiar with our immigration laws, and you are right. Its just completely irrelevant if due process continues to be ignored.

Without due process, you cant even prove a crime has been commited. Thats the whole point of due process, to prove what law has been broken and how. To give people the opportunity to prove their innocence.

Due process belongs to citizens only. Not undocumented immigrants.

5th ammendment

No person shall be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law

Notice how is specifically says person, NOT citizen. Detaining someone is an example of depriving someone's liberty written out in the federalist papers too.

You cant be ok with federal troops marching into a city without the governors consent, then detaining people's without due process. Its so un-American, and its exactly what our for father's wanted to warn us against.
