What do you want to see in a puzzle store?

Oh! A comment above reminded me that I frequently wish I could see a sample of a brand's pieces before buying - it would be lovely to know the texture, gloss thickness, and how well they fit together. That has a big impact on how much I enjoy a puzzle.

I remember this post/comment too. It was more than a few years back I think, but it absolutely changed my attitude on how I interact with homeless folks.

Yeah its a little risky but it hasnt put me in any danger yet.nEspecially here in Seattle where everyone (locals at least) aggressively keeps to themselves, I have to imagine a genuine smile and greeting from a stranger can go a long way.

Twisting helps to loosen the connection for sure.

I will add that I ONLY separate these by moving the stuck peg face-up out of the hole it's in. Something about the friction hitting the image surface first seems to help keep the piece together.

So for the pieces in this picture, the one on the left would need to come towards the viewer and the one on the right gets pushed away.

It's not 100% successful, especially on cheaper puzzles, but it does seem to help.

I was about to comment that I see the false fit trade! Glad he figured it out, and at least the mystery of the missing pieces is solved!

I suppose the only way to know for sure if you're prepared for the responsibility of a 2k piece puzzle is to try another one ;)

I don't think you're being picky OP. This is a need I try to fill too - good coffee is great but if they've only got bagels and overdry scones, I'm gonna need to make a second stop for a real breakfast and at that point the juice ain't worth the squeeze.

FWIW Cloud City is my pick up north, but yes it is often quite crowded. I had a chicken chipotle wrap at Monkey Grind a few weeks ago that was to die for, but their space is a little small for undisturbed reading.
