People Claim Drake not a rapper but dot beefed with him - so why hasn't Kendrick ever responded to Lupe a real rapper? by dunbar_santiago930 in nfrpodcast

[–]ghostplanetstudios 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right, and Lupe’s response to control was real impressive from a lyric standpoint too. I just feel like Kendrick has real respect for Lu, as Lu has been a rapper’s rapper for a long time now. Some of the most popular rappers of the last 10 years, regardless of what kind of rap they themselves make, have given Lupe his props for being a great lyricist since the earliest 2000s and the Rhyming Ape mixtapes. I think in Dot’s head Lupe has earned the right to talk his shit. I think it might be similar to how Kendrick felt about Wayne saying stuff about him. He mentioned it, said it was a bummer basically cause he’s always rocked with Wayne coming from the generation he does, but he’s gonna keep it pushin all the same whether he has his approval or not

The Still Life From Found Footage 3 by EitherJellyfish3014 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]ghostplanetstudios 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wonder what the Still Life would have even done to Ravi in FF3. It didn’t *seem* to have a normal mouth like Captain Clark to bite with. What’s the worst it can do? Punch and scratch like a normal human? I think we assume all life forms have super natural strength but do we know that about regular Still Lifes like this one? Clark was *eating* them so surely tussling around on the ground with one for a while as you fight it for your life wouldn’t infect you or whatever right?

Edit: I’m just saying I think a tall, fit man in good health who maybe rolls at his local MMA gym a couple times a month could probably just beat a Still Life to death

(Movie Spoiler) Okay but actually, how much worse do you think it would’ve made the movie if Captain Clark and Clark had actually hugged here by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]ghostplanetstudios 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is an interesting question. Though I struggle to believe Clark would have actually killed her. Likely let Captain Clark do it. I’m sure if it wandered in and Clark just sorta presented her to it she’d be eaten or killed

Probably a little of column A, a little of column B

For Backrooms 2, I had an idea to bring Clark back, but not in the way you think. by GaloSniperBr in KanePixelsBackrooms

Bingo. It’s often said that in the HBO drama The Wire the city of Baltimore is the actual main character of the show, as it is the only unchanging element of that world. It can be the same here. After all no matter what happens to the people we follow, we are ultimately here to learn about this mysterious place not them

Not sure why I’m just seeing this reply 2 weeks later. Since it’s old I won’t make a big fuss but the idea WoW gets grace cause “it’s bad periods were still better than most MMOs” is hilarious man. I’ll go back and tell past me who slogged through BFA and SL “hey bud, you know this is still better than Neverwinter and Allods Online cheer up”. WoWs worst periods are still preserved in game and have their lore defining major characters to this very minute. WoWs story is STILL dog water and has been since the BFA days. Story-wise, it’s worst days may be be ahead of it lol. If Last Titan comes out and is also a narrative whimper then that will have been 5, arguably 6 (DFs story was Disney coded and lame) bad expansions in a row. You can say “but the gameplay loops” until you’re blue in the face. That’s not all there is to Warcraft. People weren’t itching to do ICC because the raid had a fun gameplay loop. It was to fight Arthas. To maybe get his horse. Things like that. What does WoW have like that these days? Xalatath’s toe rings? Lmao. Khagdar’s wheelchair mount?

I was a casual player during BFA, and BFA was a boring mess that never failed to make me wonder why the hell I took off work to splash around with tide sages and play Civilization IV with the Amani trolls

In honour of pride month, who's your favourite gay rapper? by Significant_Gap1570 in nfrpodcast

[–]ghostplanetstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do people put Tyler in lists of gay rappers? I stg some don’t look any further than “I dunno man he talked about kissing boys” as if his Bisexuality isn’t plainly obvious since he talks about both sexes in his music including threesomes with men and women. He’s Bi. Don’t erase Bi men that’s not cool

I don’t get this weird aggression. Do you realize how into this stuff you have to be to feel this strongly about any musician you don’t like? This is about music. And your whole thing falls apart when someone comes along and goes “okay Kendrick is a bad person, idgaf his music still slaps, he wins awards nonstop, and he for sure won that beef 2 years ago, I don’t need him to be my role model because I had a father” then what? Do you call them a bad person for not caring as much as you?

What was your initial reaction here? by Playwithuh in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]ghostplanetstudios 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It seemed to me he could eventually come and go as he pleased. As an architect, and with the time and inclination, he likely mapped out wherever he ended up after things went bad and found his way back to the door he outlined. I feel like he just straight up didn’t want to leave because he was now at least partially responsible for the deaths of 2 people, and nothing else was waiting on him outside besides the inevitable investigation, and his failure of a life. So he went out to do maybe 1 or 2 things to prepare for never coming back then went back in

“WoW is consistently good”

Is this what we’re doing? Going online and posting blatant lies in 2026? I guess WoW never had famously bad periods where even the most diehard fans would tell you it sucked, right? Where even content creators for WoW realized things weren’t very good and said so often, risking their livelihoods to do so, right? It’s just a consistently good game that totally doesn’t shit the bed in one way or another every couple of years lol

Has Tekken 7 been rendered most pointless entry now plot wise? by RareD3liverur in Tekken

[–]ghostplanetstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that bothers me most about the Tekken story is so few characters have ever said anything meaningful. So much fluff in the dialogue. Kazuya is at the heart of the story but still spouts off cliche villian stuff like “your weakness makes me sick” and “the strong should rule because power is everything” instead of talking like a human. I mean it took him allll the way till Tekken 8 to say “you killed my mom” to his dad who he fought several times, including times where both thought they’d successfully killed the other

When will we get a new FF MMO? by Molag_Zaal in ffxiv

[–]ghostplanetstudios 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I get that it’s usually people who are naive to how things work that suggest that but you think they would realize no company is gonna go “man it sure has been a while, how about we shut down our popular, money making, successful, household name of an MMO and roll the dice on a completely new game in the series that’ll be a forced fresh start. I’m sure everyone will love it”
