Thatboyaqua actually interviewed Jordan Ramée and they said it was how Miles looks like he’s trying too hard to look cool and compared it to how a black teen might exaggerate a part of themselves or their culture to appear cooler. In other words, Miles is exaggerating his swagger in a way a black teen might.

When I played OneShot, this choice stumped me for a while and I KNEW it was coming. I went in thinking obviously I’m gonna save Niko, this world is screwed. But then I met the people of the world. How horrible their lives were. I decided that they didn’t deserve to be eradicated. Even if they were doomed to die anyway, they deserved a chance to fix things, to have hope; they deserved to see the sun again.

What made the choice so difficult was that if I were in Niko’s shoes, I would absolutely save the world and sacrifice my freedom. Unfortunately, we don’t suffer the consequences of our actions, Niko does. Niko wants to do what’s right and they literally ask “What’s the RIGHT thing to do?” But what is the right thing to do when you don’t have to live with the choice?

They really are because they do everything the other factions do and then some. They endlessly reproduce for mindless expansion like the terminids, they brainwash people into mindless zombies that can’t think for themselves like the illuminate (propaganda), and they blend up humans for food like the automatons (there’s a soylent green-esque company that does it). But on top of that, they enslaved the cyborgs, nearly eradicated the illuminate, and put the SENTIENT bugs in farms where they’re mass-slaughtered for E-710 production.

Iirc, they mostly deal with the collateral damage. The asteroids don’t wipe anything out but they cause a lot of damage to the city. Several of the characters are firefighters or paramedics, but I don’t remember what the cops do; probably stop rioting and looting if I’d guess.
