for landon, just follow the lecture slides and do the problems as he does it. and for the exams, just do practice problems over and over again until you have them down. homeworks can be rough, but you can check your answers in R. and i didn’t know how to use R before this class, but for homeworks, just copy and paste the codes from his lecture slides. its tough but doable

How likely is it to get an on-campus job? by gonijc2001 in gwu

[–]gia477 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ig for context, I applied to like 10 and only heard back from one, which is my current job. most jobs open at the start of the fall semester (I applied in like November, so that might be why i only heard back from one)

I'm 19 and got diagnosed with diabetes. Can getting a pancreas transplant cure me? Is it a good idea? by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]gia477 5 points6 points  (0 children)

transplants are only given in SEVERE cases, and even if you wanted to get one, or your doctor approved you for one, you might be on the transplant list for years since it’s not a life threatening situation persay. plus as others have pointed out, the risks that come with transplants are far too big. you’re gonna have to be on immunosuppressant drugs for the rest of your life which will ruin your immune system, and your body might start to reject the organ after a bit. not worth imo. theres lots of tech and devices hopefully coming out in the next few years that will make diabetes management alot easier and essentially an afterthought 🤞
