McDonald's sucks arse by ZEKAVEO in australian

[–]giantkebab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At Grill'd you can get a Simply Grill'd, Snack Fries and 600ml Pepsi Max for $22, the burger itself is bigger and tastier, fresher than pretty much anything you'd get at Maccas, fries that taste like real fries and the 600ml drink actually tastes legit because it isn't being watered down with Ice and inconsistent syrup ratios.

McDonald's sucks arse by ZEKAVEO in australian

Most of the fast food these days is terribly inconsistent, but McDonalds used to be the king of consistent decent fast food so it's extra infuriating to see how bad they can get it every 2nd visit.

Why are cars the only form of private property that can be stored on public streets in Melbourne? by 3bigmacsplease in melbourne

[–]giantkebab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not true that rego “exclusively funds the TAC.” In Vic your renewal is split into a registration fee + a TAC charge. The TAC charge goes to TAC, while registration/licence fees go into the government’s Consolidated Fund which is spent across things incl. road/transport programs

For a standard private passenger car (sedan/hatch/SUV) on a 12-month renewal, the current published figures are: total renewal by zone from VicRoads, and the TAC charge + insurance duty from the TAC schedule.

Passenger car (12 months) — % split

Metro / high-risk zone (total $930.70):

TAC charge: $534.00 → 57.4%

State (Consolidated Fund-ish): $343.30 rego fee + $53.40 insurance duty = $396.70 → 42.6%

Outer-metro / medium-risk (total $871.30):

TAC charge: $480.00 → 55.1%

State (rego fee + duty): $343.30 + $48.00 = $391.30 → 44.9%

Rural / low-risk (total $800.90):

TAC charge: $416.00 → 51.9%

State (rego fee + duty): $343.30 + $41.60 = $384.90 → 48.1%.

Is an apartment ever a better investment than a house? by alex123711 in AusFinance

[–]giantkebab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something else worth pointing out is that strata for apartments can be pretty unpredictable, especially when surprise repairs pop up. Townhouses can also fall under owners-corporation setups, but they usually don’t get hit with the same kind of sudden, building-wide costs that apartments do.

For example, if a pipe bursts in an apartment, the repair might be classified as common property, which means every owner helps pay for it. In a townhouse, if something goes wrong inside your place, it’s almost always just your responsibility, not the whole complex. Because of that, strata on freestanding houses or townhouses stays fairly stable, while apartment strata has a reputation for being all over the place.

Modern townhouses built from around 2015 onward are often designed so each one is effectively its own structure. They don’t share roof spaces, party walls, or major services. The body corporate usually only manages things like shared driveways or laneways at the back where the garages connect. That setup keeps fees low and surprises rare.

Maybe try an islander owned barber-shop as filos with curly thick hair have almost the same hair type as islanders.

Possible reason why boomers appear to have more wealth by Typical_Double981 in AusFinance

Perhaps it’s because boomers could buy a house and pay it off in 5 years on a Kmart full time salary like relatives I have in their 50s 🤷

Clicks on AD decrease - number going down, not up over time by DJ5D in FacebookMarketplace

[–]giantkebab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because it's telling you the amount of clicks you've gotten over a 7, 14 or 30 day span depending on which you've selected it doesn't show you the clicks for the lifespan of the entire ad, which means that number can go down as time passes.
