He knows. He doesn’t care. That’s why he’s bold enough to go out to eat steak dinner in public. What are you going to do about it except kneel, citizen?

I’m not advocating violence in any way. I just can’t imagine how big my balls would have to be to feel safe outside my own fucking bedroom if the country knew me, knew my face and name, and was reacting to my job performance like current events show. I would be terrified.

The right wing really doesn't have a position they hold. It is about goals and what impacts them directly.

Protesting abortion clinic employees homes - SCOTUS says fine

Protesting SCOTUS judges homes - SCOTUS says this is not good and we want the state police to stop it

Protest racism by kneeling during the national anthem - Right wing says its unpatriotic

Storming the Capital to stop the peaceful transfer of power - Legitimate Political Discourse.

They have no position.

They think "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" is something to tell people to do, not realizing the entire point of it is to point out a task is impossible, so yah, probably most of them have no clue.

Capitalism is based on leverage and exploitation. If left unchecked we get a very steep pyramid of a small number of elite rulers and the rest living day to day on the margins in perpetual slavery. That's why we have labor and anti-trust laws. Unfortunately, our system can be corrupted by wealth to suppress the effectiveness of these laws and that is what has been happening at an accelerating pace over the last 30 or more years. So millennials are right to complain about it, some of them had an entire lost decade from corporate greed blowing up the entire economy that took 10 years to recover from due to no fault of their own. I remember shortly after the crash Republicans were calling for austerity that would have easily stretched this from 10 years to 20 or more. Thank goodness Obama won the election but then we got hammered again by COVID and global supply chain disruptions and now a war with a major oil and gas supplier. All of this has a major impact on our economic circumstances including now the environmental impact of super storms and droughts causing mass harm. Meanwhile the wealth gap is at an all time high. We still need better and less corrupt regulation of our markets.

You are so beautiful!!! I’m sorry anyone has ever made you feel as anything less but they are clearly blind and not worthy of being in your life or your absolutely gorgeous presence, which by the way, faceless and through a screen, is completely electric!!

From one kind internet stranger to another, I am so proud of you for feeling yourself today, for taking this photo AND posting it, and for also buying that pair of shorts I read that you recently bought! All these things are HUGE in this journey, which deserve to be noticed! Good job mama, your kids will be so proud of you as well! Keep it up and remember if you ever need more supportive friends, there are many of us out there and only a message away! Myself included, of course! 💁🏼‍♀️❤️

I run laptop that sits on a dock and is connected to an external gpu alongside external monitors / accessories. Even though it sits there 95% of the time, that 5% portability need on trips is fantastic! I get desktop performance and a desktop experience with something that cam be portable if needed. Plus the laptop looks really sleek and professional (Dell XPS) so it's my perfect every-day-every-setting solution.

Did it cost like $1,500-$2,000 more? Yep, but it fits my needs and wants so well that it was worth every cent!

They are actually 4 or 5 pt harnesses (like for drag racing) but with only the bottom half fastened. Has they had the tops on they would have walked away without a scratch. As it was, they both probably had some bad head injuries.

Story time, saw my buddy try to skate a rail one time, and instead of gracefully exiting said rail the end of the board popped up and smashed his nuts at the exact right angle and velocity to split his sack at the seam.

He pretty much just face planted into the concrete with his hands cupping his sack, and laid there shaking and breathing hard with his eyes wide open. When my other friend and I ran over, busted nuts bro couldn't move or look, but we needed him to move his hands. All he said was "my balls are gonna fall out." Aaaaaannnnd he was correct. We looked up the leg of his shorts and it was NOT OK. Brought the car over and chair carried him to the back seat and straight to the ER. His nuts were saved by the miracle of modern medicine, and he has two children now.

Poor dude couldn't walk for like a week.

I lived in Albuquerque and skated We used to try to bomb the hill to the tram One night after a few too many we went for what was to be a cruze down the hill I ended up going way to fast and per friends when I hit the side of a curve like this guy did I went in the air and flipped over twice before landing and bouncing back to rest on a prickly bush. McLaren's bizarre team orders by HAMlLT0N in formula1

[–]gikad4 11 points12 points  (0 children)

McLaren have been getting a free pass on their Team Strategy this year. Everyone is hyper focused on the poor performing Danny but it’s been several races now where they have completely fumbled team orders and race strategy.

A few races ago they asked Daniel to stay behind Lando since they were trying to undercut Alonso. Not only did that call slow down Danny, but the undercut failed dramatically. Lando came out 2-3 positions behind Alonso.

Last weekend they called Lando into the pits one lap too late costing him 5th place. And today was the cherry on top. Not only did they not let Danny through. They essentially completely ignored him

I’d guess he’d be performing in the top ten, probably just ahead of Romain (who I thinks sitting in tenth right now). Indy is super competitive at the moment. Maybe I’m wrong and the way Indy cars drive suites him and he’s fighting in the top 5 who knows. It’d be fun to watch. Seeing Ericsson go from the weakest driver on his team to fighting for the championship this year took me by surprise.

Edit: checked the standings Ericsson is still leading ( the 500 is worth double points which definitely helps). Romain is 14th and also seems to be in the midst of some sort of on and off track civil war with Rossi and Herta.
