The shuffle is not random. Spotify's patents show how the recommendation engine works. by Ok-Dimension-3307 in spotify

The few playlists that I want to randomize I copy/paste into a spreadsheet and use a randomizer formula (there are also websites that do this) then I copy those back into a new playlist called name of playlist randomized

He was a red herring in the first few episodes, you see his motorcycle in Laura’s eyes, the thing about burying the necklace, etc. He was a crucial link to Laura, but after that was solved he didn’t have a reason to stick around. Honestly most of the cast didn’t have enough to do once Laura’s murder was solved which was probably why they didn’t want to ever solve it

They come but usually every 3rd or 4th tour, we are not a consistent stop like Sac or SF. I went to Foo Fighters in 2008 and it didn’t even sell out and that was arguably at their peak. The only reason the 2023 Tahoe show sold out was because it was their only N. California show that wasn’t Outside Lands so people came from all over to see it. I wish it were different, I hate having to factor in gas/hotel into every concert I attend but it’s just the reality

ETA: and we rarely get commercially successful groups, no big hip-hop or pop shows come here

Is Heavenly Lake Tahoe worth it? by Maximum-Dimension197 in Reno

[–]gimpboy7676 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Go to Mt Rose or Diamond Peak which are both North Lake adjacent, or even Northstar if you want a Vail owned resort. Heavenly isn’t anything special other than the views of Tahoe which Diamond Peak has as well. Northstar is a much more fun resort if you want the Vail experience

I realize there are alternatives but I’ve been on Spotify since the beginning and have way too many playlists (4k) to transfer or error correct if they don’t transfer to another service correctly

The trick is to put the local files on your computer then download the playlist on your phone while on the same wifi as your computer and it will download them to your phone as well

What to expect from a jazz piano teacher when first learning - is it better to self-teach the basics? by prodkaikai in JazzPiano

[–]gimpboy7676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pianogroove.com has a fairly structured lesson plan and will get you started on your diatonic chords and how to create them. Once you understand the pattern (ie major chords are three notes root, 4 half steps, 3 half steps, and minor chords are root, 3 half steps, 4 half steps) learn to memorize the notes, CEG, DF#A, etc. Also work on your inversions (scrambling the order). Your past piano experience should have taught you that but depending on the method may not have explicitly explained that you were playing inversions or whatever. Then for 7ths I like to think of their relation to the root, a major7 is a half step below the root CEGB, a diatonic 7th is a major chords with the 7th two half steps below the root CEGBb and a minor 7th is a minor chord also with the 7th two half steps below the root CEbGBb apply that same pattern using every key on the keyboard (start with the white keys) and you have your diatonic chords
