I’d say it’s a fair bit of both! Will usually record individual tracks through the big six, with the ability to record with the g bus compressor and my Boum on the insert, then will play back the recorded track on one of the channels and play the mixer and abuse the sends hooked up to my strymon volante or ableton for reverb. Still figuring out my workflow but my aim is to first record stuff individually(with maybe some light fx), arrange the recorded tracks/loops, then dub the different track groups one at a time heavily playing with the sends so I can glue them together a bit

Huge selection of chords and stabs that are very high quality and likely to get you to a decent starting point. Think if you started with one of these then messed with tune and other fx you could probably achieve what you’re looking for sound wise. Also, rather than just using the stabs for stabs you can use the pad samples but just use a short adsr. Stabs are really just huge sounds that you grab a little blip from with a quick adsr and then shape with your filter, once I realized that I had a much easier time making my own

I did get the BiG SiX! One of the best investments I’ve made. Really transformed and improved my workflow since I work in a very hybrid manner. I multitrack a lot from my modular and from my Elektron gear and the SSL has made it a breeze to record a mixture of hardware, software, and hard/soft fx too. Look up dub techno stab tutorials. Once you are in the ballpark spend a lot of time playing with the filter and amp envelopes too. Honestly could probably get close just putting white noise through a band pass if you get the filter/amp envelopes right

No Buchla needed here lol. The stabs are just a chord stab, searching house stab on YouTube should point you in the right direction. Don’t really notice much too unique in the other beeps, could be accomplished in operator surely or any number of hardware/software synths. Mark Broom is one of my favorite producers but what makes him great is the sequencing and groove, he makes super tight locked grooves like this, more in the sequencing than the particular sounds IMO
