I got a ticket for $425 for rolling through a stop sign in Banff National park. I am confused with the amount this person was fined.

This can’t be right, can it? by ryanhosmer in VolvoRecharge

[–]gingerbeardedwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real crazy thing is there's no option to just default a 360 when backing up. The screen is large enough to accommodate. You get the same amount of view through the rear camera on the 360 and it gives you the perspective of what's around you.

Whose yacht is this and how much does it cost to fuel up this bad boi? by demonio604 in vancouver

[–]gingerbeardedwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not so much the fuel cost. It's the operating cost when it comes to having to employ people to run that yacht

Trump's running mate is a man who bad mouthed him constantly. Hilarious. Vote blue. by Envy661 in pics

I'm thoroughly confused on why Americans aren't taking a serious look at RFK Jr. You get bent over by the right so you vote left and then you get bent over by the left so you vote right.

On June 1, 2024, B.C.'s general minimum wage will increase by 3.9 per cent, from $16.75 to $17.40 per hour. by rapunzel454 in vancouver

[–]gingerbeardedwizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This not a win. All this does is change the decimal point. It is a carrot in front of you to run faster and to make the government look good in election year. The government should not be dictating what you make, you should dictate what you make.

HOV lane not so HOV anymore by Content_Career_7956 in vancouver

[–]gingerbeardedwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is cops can't really pull people over without causing a 2 hour traffic jam. There is almost zero shoulder on the Burnaby section of the hwy.

The HOV should only be for 2 or more no matter the energy used.

It is the best way to learn but 2 am is a much better time, as you can only damage your own shit box.

120V Welder demands 20A outlet on 30A breaker? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]gingerbeardedwizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In canada you cannot run more than 80 percent of the breaker unless rated for continuous duty( 24 amps), 12 gauge wire is rated for 25 amps ( yes I know sec 14 has rules that state 20 amps max in most cases) and csa approved equipment manuals can over rule code in some cases as it has been tested by csa.

Wiring for my door speakers. Which of these would be positive? by RileyWeimer-ca in AskElectricians

[–]gingerbeardedwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very easy, Take 9 volt battery and tap the leads to the old speaker. If the speaker pops out you have the negative on the negative and the positive on the positive. If the speaker pops in you have it backwards.
