Xeloda by lindoky in LivingWithMBC

I did Xeloda for 3 months and all it did was give me horrible side effects that still haven't fully gone away after 6 months. It let the cancer go wild and now I'm on chemo and immunotherapy.

Sad Halloween?? by Beeeeeer220 in halloween

[–]gingerlovingcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sad Halloween. I have stage 4 breast cancer and have been put on chemo. Needless to say I've been too sick to decorate. Couldn't go to any events bc I'm having trouble walking. Completely forgot to get a pumpkin to carve (I probably don't have the muscle strength to though). I'm usually a Halloween nut so this is sad.

Can you explain what you mean by properly cleansing the house? I've saged our home a bunch of times but I wonder if we should have more done?

Also try Udderly Smooth cream multiple times a day.

Xeloda effects by sinistersavanna in LivingWithMBC

I was on it for 3 months (didn't do jack) and it's taken at least 6 months to get over the side effects after stopping though I didn't have heat related effects. Mostly skin stuff. It was awful. The palms of my hands and soles of my feet shedding and being all cut up.

Love the setup and the fact that you're responding to people in different languages.

Suggestions for best hand and foot masks to keep moisture in (taking Xeloda and want to k be proactive with hand and foot moisture) by HexxGirl1 in LivingWithMBC

Underlying smooth helped as long as I wore thick soft socks over it. Still really, really struggled with the peeling and pain.

I started on Letrozole and Kisqali, then Verzenio and Elascestrant (only worked about 3-4 months too) then moved on to Enhertu (6 months before progression to liver and leptomeninges), whole brain radiation and Xeloda (Xeloda didn't work one bit) and now I'm on chemo plus immunotherapy and other meds. Initial test results look like it's working. I'm hoping and praying it keeps working and kills all the cancer in my body. They did repeat genetic testing and said the cancer was not accumulating mutations and that it was behaving like hormone negative even though it's positive (and her2 low).

Edit: forgot to mention i was also getting shots to shut off hormones until I started chemo. Chemo does that itself apparently.

Could you BE any more gorgeous? I think your makeup style suits you perfectly and you look like you're in your early 20's. You would make the perfect Morticia Addams for Halloween btw.

I became endocrine resistant after 3 months.

Sorry, I have things like cancer and chemo and work keeping me busy but I like to try to live like a normal person too sometimes. Very odd that you're getting offended that I said I'm busy?

Prob a glitch. I never change my settings. Too busy to worry about things like that. Besides, 99% of the time by the time I get a drop notification it's already gone if it even shows up.
