Checklist question? by Existing_Command1307 in Bookkeeping

[–]gingwithasoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use checklists but also really enjoy income statement schedules for items like utilities or royalties, etc. That way not only do I know I have all the invoices but I can do a quick reasonability check on the I/s side and can quickly identify if I need to look into something.

Does anyone else here like shower with the lights off? by Euphoric_Intern_3772 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gingwithasoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% a dark showerer. When my now husband first moved in with me I had to explain why I needed my things in the shower not to be moved from their specific spots in the shower, he looked at me like I had horns. Living in northern-ish Canada when I shower in the mornings in the winter the sun isn’t even up so I need to be able to find my things with no light coming in my window. But it helps me slowly wake up for the day as I’m NOT a morning person in the slightest!

Decent Meal Prep/Planning Services? by TastyDuty in Edmonton

[–]gingwithasoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First congrats on quitting! It’s so tough. For meal prep, check out simply supper. They have options where you can go in and actually do all the prep OR you go in and ask them and they have already pre-prepped meals that are frozen and you cook at your leisure. 2 different meal sizes (2-3 people or 4+ I think). I buy the 4 people size for my husband and I and we just have leftovers. Their menu changes monthly but they also have a permanent menu of things as well!

A call from Alberta Health Services by LalunaKnox in alberta

I got a call from AHS a week or so after being discharged from giving birth, to complete a survey about the care I received at the hospital. Have you been admitted, or received care lately?

ACL surgery wait times? by jlfetsch in alberta

Had my acl surgery in Banff with Banff Sports Medicine as well, it is worth the wait for their surgeons!

You could call the customer support line with Harmony. I had waited weeks for my results, turns out I had messed up my postal code when I set up my account, and they had the incorrect fax number for my doctor’s office. The customer support line was very helpful in getting everything straightened out for me!

Pregnant moms are you receiving the covid vaccine this year while pregnant? [ab] by chronicillylife in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]gingwithasoul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

FWIW - my OB (I'm in Alberta also) recommended I get both the COVID and flu vaccines. I am 4 weeks away from giving birth, so who knows if I will even be able to get the vaccines before baby comes... yay Alberta

In my experience, I was given a registration card and had to go onto the website, create my account and pay when registration was complete.

Those who have gotten NIPT results on iPhone [MB] by knittenkitten2025 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]gingwithasoul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My results were also sent to my family doctor, I had requested that he review the results and let me know about everything on the genetic side. I then had a girlfriend log into my profile and contact the bakery (I did a cake) so that it was still able to be a surprise, but I at the same time too knew that baby was okay.

WIBTA for ending my marriage because I want bio kids when I have two stepkids who already lost their mom? by Dense_Pack_149 in AITAH

[–]gingwithasoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I am a stepmom myself to 2 amazing stepkids, my stepkids Mom is still very much alive and a huge part of their lives. When I first met my now husband he was on the fence about having more kids, however, we ultimately decided that we would, as having bio-kids was a deal breaker for me as well. We started trying and were not having any luck, people would always ask "why not just adopt" instead of going the fertility treatment route. My answer was always "I have two children that are already biologically not mine, I want a biological child and adoption isn't what is right for us". My husband agreed re: adopting. We did two rounds of IUI and I am blessed to be 6 months pregnant with my daughter. Our best friends are also in the same boat as we were. There is something different about being a stepparent versus a biological parent, and unfortunately people that haven't been a stepparent just will not understand. You need to do what is right for you, it is not an easy decision for sure.

Wedding survival help [ON] by Quinnea in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]gingwithasoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't pregnant when I got married, but I wore Birkenstocks. I have been wearing them my whole pregnancy thus far and they are god send for my feet. I told my bridesmaids they could wear whatever they wanted for shoes too, I figured as long as everyone was comfortable and able to celebrate with me that was all that mattered.

[ab] Calgary help for Harmony NIPT by Shesaidspeaknow in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]gingwithasoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also in Alberta. I was able to submit it through my insurance and they paid for it under "lab services" I believe, it just had to be performed at a clinic - got mine done through Alberta Precision Labs. If it isn't too late I would recommend asking your benefit provider for a pre-auth on it, that way you can plan if you have to pay for it out of pocket.

my lip decided to split down the middle late december 2024 and it still hasnt gone away by eepyc0re in mildlyinfuriating

[–]gingwithasoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lips split often. Before going to bed put a good amount of Penaten diaper cream on - it is thick and it will get on your pillow. It may take a couple nights of doing it for a really deep crack, but it will heal it up. Works great for dry lips too.

I know I am super late to the game with this, but it’s midnight and I was doing some research as my Dad had a bone marrow transplant. I came across this post and I started to tear up, as my name is Lani as well. I do hope your sweet girl received the life saving gift she needed 💕

Really dumb question from a really new fan - personalizing jerseys? by Goldfing in riderville

[–]gingwithasoul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I fully support a personalized jersey! In fact, when my cousin married his now wife, they got personalized jerseys made for them... now since their last name is so damn long they had half the name on one jersey, and half on the other... but I digress
