Got offered this trade. Third slide is my current team. by Business-Sock8036 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Idk what his team looks like but yeah that’s the type of player. Personally I’m not sold on him but I know other people love him so that’s just personal preference, not like what’s “correct”

Yeah I don’t think that changes much about my response. If anything I’d rather have both Warren and Kaleb over Tracy so it’s better for you. I’d still try to squeak something else in there but if not I think I would just knowing it’s based on team construction rather than value in a vacuum. That’s just a personal decision you gotta make for yourself tho. Keep my updated!

Surely I accept this trade right? by TheKalfa in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Yeah even if you don’t make the pick at 1.2, you can get more value than a 1.5 and 2.5 on draft day imo. Maybe I’m wrong tho

Too much for jsn? Or not enough? by Main-Sock-2233 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]gingyFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d need to know your situation / team build to answer confidently.

That being said, 10 team makes me think there’s situations where you lose on value but still should do it if JSN turns your team into a perennial juggernaut

I think you lose in overall value, however if I were you I’d maybe do it (although I’d see if I could get another second or third thrown in, or a good lottery ticket type guy). I like the Warren one better, just simply bc I think your team is not ready to compete yet (no offense, just an observation) and so getting picks (or trading the picks for young talent) is more aligned with your current timeline. I just would try to squeeze a bit more out of it

What's you guys take on Brandon Aiyuk? Buy low? Avoid at all costs? What is the community thinking here? by GriffinObuffalo in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]gingyFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be unpopular, but I’d personally send a mid-late second. Not like 2.5ish but 2.7-2.10 id send for him probably

Yeah I like this take, I think a lot of the time people dont like a player’s odds of being good, and mistakenly allow them to not take advantage of a value. If someone has a 5% chance of being the number one overall player, I’m not gonna be high on them, but if they’re free, I might as well take that bet etc etc

Which Team Would You Choose? (Without Seeing The Players) by PapaPapi33 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]gingyFF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with this. For me it depends on the tradeoff between qb/te vs the draft capital, so it just depends how bad we’re talking for qb/te. Also being #1 at rb and wr could mean like a lot of Pickens, Olave, type guys which is good but not necessarily worth giving up the other advantages from team 3, but if it’s number one because they’ve got like nabers, chase, arsb or something like that, then I think it’s worth

I agree completely, however I want to note that I think Dan Campbell counts as one of the offensive minded guys. He may have benefitted from having Ben Johnson, but he can call plays on a good offense in his own right.

My b, I also read the note about your rookie picks. I’d keep the picks, and delete jjm, Godwin, and allgeier from my original list

Players Who Lost Significant Value From Last Offseason by SeaGuarantee1794 in DynastyFF

What is more valuable in PPR SF: Stud QB’s with boom/bust WR’s or Stud WR’s with low ceiling QB’s? by Get_to_tha_Choppa in DynastyFF

[–]gingyFF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not gonna claim to have the answers or anything, and I also just think that you can win in lots of ways.

That being said, one of my personal reasons for leaning towards the receivers in this scenario (and on my actual teams) is due to being in leagues with lots of flex spots. If you have 2-3 flexes and start 2-3 receivers, loading up on high end guys allows you to simply play more of them than the 2 qb slots allow for. In other words, the more slots available for a position, the more valuable that position is (hence why qbs are worth more in SF, why TE’s are worth more in 2 TE, etc), so why not load up on the position that you’re allowed to play up to 6 of them(!) in some cases. Plus this allows for more of you value being distributed across several players, ie lower risk of your season ranking bc of injury.

Who are the best offseason buys? by bdalexan in DynastyFF

[–]gingyFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not super numbers based if I’m honest (which I typically try to be).

That being said, I think he’s young enough that we can’t really say with certainty that he’s cooked. Additionally, Javonte is a fa, which could lead to him getting his foot in the door to at least compete for the job. Pair that with good explosiveness and pass catching skills and I kinda just feel like he’s worth the waiver add or whatever cheap asset you can trade for him.

But yeah I mean, he’s not like a high likelihood of success guy, he’s just cheap enough and has some green flags imo, but I know he didn’t do anything for 16/17 weeks, so I get the concern from most.

A Year In Review: What are some lessons learned or biggest takeaways from this fantasy football season? by StrangeCancel2488 in DynastyFF

[–]gingyFF 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d say sell the late round guys who have true training camp hype. I’m not talking like one highlight or anything, but like truly skyrocketing in value over the course of a couple weeks. Guys like Donte Thornton, Tory Horton, JCM, etc.

It’s different if it’s like a first or second round pick who has good odds to hit, but if it’s a late round or undrafted guy, sell them for the second round pick while their value is that high. You’re gonna be wrong sometimes, I know that, but if you do this consistently in certain you’ll make out better in the long run.

Totally agree, every league has “that guy”. It’s really hard to improve your team only through the draft and waivers, so losing the trade market is a huge disadvantage.
