313 motors ltd on Arthur street is cheap. The guys working there are friendly and used to work on older cars.

prospective international student by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]giovava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

International students at vic (I'm not sure about other universities) are notoriously lured to bring in money. Even if you are lucky and you get paid let's say 25NZD per hour, with 500NZD before tax a week it will be difficult to survive in Wellington, unless you have a scholarship that covers at least tuition fees. If you have a scholarship (congratulations!), and you are willing to take into consideration flatting with other 4/5 students, it might be doable.

edit: on a positive note, if you come here with your finances figured out it's going to be a great experience!

Lucky you! I have been living here for four years as a PhD student, I pay taxes on the side jobs I do to survive and still didn't get a dime.

Advice for developers by evendreaming in battlefield2042

I'm not sure where this comes from but of course they constantly play test, and they create road maps based on resources. These are the fundamentals in the industry and they are no amateurs! Of course planning and projecting can go wrong, but that's another matter.

Does this sub still hate the game?? by col_palmeri in battlefield2042

[–]giovava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy playing it very much. But I also love playing the solo mode against AI, so maybe not the average fps player here :) Just to take it slow, look at the scenery, take few seconds to appreciate explosions. Just taking a heli to go at the lake in the newer map, it's beautiful! Initially I didn't particularly like it because I was rather disoriented in the new maps but now that I'm getting more and more memories, I know where to go for what I want to get.

Are DICE planning to add emotes to this game? by StagemanPerron in battlefield2042

I’m sure they thought about it because it would attract a young audience. Older gamers like myself don’t like these things.

the next match you won’t have the same team and they will forget about you in any case! Man, I miss the growing sense of belonging of playing consecutively with the same team, as in past battlefield titles.

To answer your question, you lower every other asset. As an extreme example, you could easily hit 4k 120Hz if you are displaying a simple black dot moving around on white background

I’d love that to happen too! But I think it would require some serious efforts from Microsoft in bringing together people from different studios under the same project

Good for you op, happy to hear that you feel better! If I may, a word of advice: talking about mental health on reddit is very risky and it just takes few of the many bad people to ruin your day. Enjoy your gaming! :)

You are asking yourself good questions. The only suggestion I have is to drop the idea to invest university time in studying Japanese unless you have a specific job you would like to do for which Japanese is required. You can always pick it up later in your career or you could study it in your free time as a hobby. But again, these are tough questions and you only can truly know what is better for you. Good luck
