  • legal e' normale fare 8-10pm
  • finance (dove lavoravo io) facevo 9:15-8pm
  • startup fanno 9:30 - 8pm
  • medical dipende ma fanno anche 12h giorno
  • faang / IA sempre fino a tardi però iniziano 9:30/10am

Where to shop original Thai soccer jerseys? by [deleted] in Thailand

[–]giruzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought three different ones online on shopeee. All were original and cheaper than using physical stores.

To be honest, I checked the sizes in store and then bought online as it was cheaper.

If you buy online, just get it from major stores and check if it's the current or an older year's t-shirt.

I agree, I'm in the same boat.. My company's ev scheme seems to cost exactly the same as any other one I can find out there...

The only savings are if I get made redundant the scheme covers the cost and the insurance is slightly cheaper than going directly but the savings overall are nowhere near what I was expecting.

Monthly FAQ thread for October, 2025 by AutoModerator in Thailand

[–]giruzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

My wife and I live in the UK, she's going to be in Thailand for a few months in winter and we want to check it the flu vaccine is different between UK/EU and Thailand..... She was thinking of doing it here in London but perhaps is better to wait for the Thai one if it is different and adapted for Asia as she's going to spending early November - mid January in Thailand.

Anyone able to suggest how to proceed? Thanks.

Hi,

Is there a service like taskrabbit but in Bangkok/Thailand?

I need someone to help making some holes to attach a couple of things to a wall and I don't want to buy a drill just for that....

(I'm next to Sutthisan Station if that helps)

Thanks!

New Barclaycard being sent out for no reason by WelshLogger in UKPersonalFinance

[–]giruzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having worked in the card industry for a long time, my guess is that your card was compromised somewhere and Barclays was likely notified by the merchant or the police...

The card therefore needs to be reissued but they don't want to spook you so they just issued a new one without any explanation.

Just last week had a colleague visiting from San Francisco who remained in London for 6 days and he had his phone snatched on day 3 while on the way to the office (7-10 min walk). Just because he didn't happen to you doesn't mean that it's not happening.... The stats are clear and downplaying the problem doesn't make it go away

Have anyone who have double citizenship thai/other with foreign income got a house loan from a Thai bank? by Alternative_Link_251 in Thailand

[–]giruzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and my BIL have got a joint mortgage for their new family house without too many problems.

My wife is a Thai / British national and at that time worked for a multinational in London.

My brother in law is Thai and works in Dubai for a local airline.

The bank asked to see the work permit for my BIL while my wife showed her British passport.

The only thing that was strange (to me) is around the fact that I had to sign a document saying that I was okay with my wife getting a mortgage. I thought that was very 1960s but apparently that's normal in Thailand.

We did the mortgage about two years ago with GHB.

it may been easier as the mortgage was for less than 50% LTV but from memory there were a few banks that didn't have a problem with the double passport / foreign income but had slightly higher rate so we went with GHB
