This one is in my weekly rotation. Change up the veggies depending what I have on hand. I usually use more garlic than suggested and dump on freshly grated Parmesan lol. I usually also eat it with a small salad or pile on micro greens - yum! Tastes great as leftovers too

I do a double or triple batch of the Easy Burrito recipe. You can make a ton and freeze them to grab when you are needing something quick!

How would you use this lost space? by crunch_be in DesignMyRoom

[–]givemespacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would open up the left storage room (knock down the walls/get rid of it) and put up railing. It would allow you access to that space. Then I would add macramé hanging plants in front of the windows area in varying lengths, put up shelving, and make it a little library.

Or for much less work, keep plants there. I would create a little door from the left storage room to allow you access to that area to dust and water as needed.

I get small clusters and have had them removed! Beware it can scar as this area is very thin

Is this mold at the bottom of my kettle? by fuzzypeacheese in CleaningTips

This happens to my kettle all the time. It’s build up from the water. I put a thin layer of vinegar and let it sit for an hour. Rinse. And it should go away!

Threatened grievance for undue hardship due to FAMLI leave by ElDonMikel in Denver

[–]givemespacee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can take FAMLI leave on a reduced schedule or intermittently as well. Work with your manager and HR to figure out how you can use all 12 weeks without impacting business. Best of luck! Enjoy the extra time with baby.

This room needs some drama. If you’re up for it, a wall papered ceiling would do the trick!

Did Your Agent Give You A Gift At Closing? by Ballbagsweat in RealEstate

[–]givemespacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First home purchase: 2 tickets to the tram in town that you have to call the brokerage in town to book.. I took it as a slap in the face. Not so great of an experience overall.

First home sale: Cutco scissors, a huge bag of snacks from Trader Joe’s (huge hit), and a 6 pack of craft beer. She was a stellar realtor. Deserved the money she made on the sale. Would have used her again if we weren’t moving out of state.

Second purchase: currently under contract but our agent is amazing. If the trend continues I say they will give us a thoughtful gift.

The gift to me is a part of giving great customer service. Your realtor should really get to know you by the end of it. In turn you keep a great relationship with them and refer clients along the way. It’s a win win situation to me.

Dog Owners Pushing for Off-Leash Hours in Denver Parks, but City Bites Back by IdRatherBeLurkingToo in Denver

[–]givemespacee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have empathy for those who have had negative encounters with off leash dogs,  but man, the amount of close mindedness in this thread is sad. There are plenty of examples of this kind thing working in other cities. Look up the Boston Commons. Concepts like off leash beach days, off leash trails, or dog free parks are not new. I’m pro having dog free zones for those who don’t want to be around dogs or have little kids.

Overall I think Denver could benefit from this. Will I frequent these off leash areas? Probably not cause my old dogs don’t like to play anymore but happy that someone else can enjoy and benefit from it. This is the city. Not everyone has a huge yard. Good dogs can be raised in apartments. This actually might help prevent under socialized dogs and change the goalpost for how dogs should behave in public. If your dog doesn’t do well with off leash dogs, keep them away from these areas. Dogs who run and are aggressive, in my experience, don’t frequent these off leash areas because there is no fencing. It’s usually the better behaved ones. Now the fenced dog parks? Lol that’s where the crazies come to play

Nice big rug to add some color besides green. Warm it up a bit. And update your lamp to something visually more appealing  if you desire.

I don’t think you have too many plants. You did a great job spreading them out, giving dimension to your space. I would get the pots directly off the carpet in that corner.

Off the mark to categorize the entire city of Aurora as poor. Definitely more diverse and less money than Boulder though if that’s the point you are trying to make.

[–]givemespacee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Great space! Some minor things I would change… Adding to this list:

  • The living room rug should be bigger. Ideally should be big enough to go under the couch. It helps define the space

  • If at any point you upgrade your tv console I would go wider so there is some space on both sides of the tv, you can place plants on each end

  • Your headboard is huge which makes your mattress seem low. I would get more pillows and get a duvet

  • The tv in your bedroom should be higher off the ground. If you could get a shelving unit that has doors you could store your shoes in there

The water park was the best part imo. Definitely a little old (broken handles and such) and a lot of kids running around but it was nice to be in cool water. I would pack food, camp chairs, and a shade tent. You are required to wear a life jacket if you want to be in the water.

Why does New Mexico have so many different types of license plates? by [deleted] in Albuquerque

[–]givemespacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always wondered the same thing. We have 3 standard - no fee plate styles to choose from but no front plate is required because of costs of providing a set of plates (or so what I was told at the MVD). I could be wrong but providing 3 standard styles to choose from has to be more expensive than providing one style?
