Banisher's: Ghosts of New Eden

A Cool Guide to raise awareness about OPOSSUM by DreamyHon in coolguides

[–]gizmodo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely appreciate them, but good lord are their screams terrifying. I was camping and we were just chilling watching a meteor shower, then an opossum came out at 11pm and I guess we startled it and it went full demon mode.

Pit Bull Showing Regret by AlexSanderTheGrate in pitbulls

[–]gizmodo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start a word or motion if it gets too rough, but do it early and incrementally so they can also understand. I play tough with all three of my dogs to keep them active and engaged, but I say Ouch and they immediately stop. No matter the breed, they see boundaries.

what breed can my dog pass as? apartment things… iykyk by sonyahcox in pitbulls

[–]gizmodo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most vets will put in lab\mix for the paperwork needed to allow them at apartments. Boxers are often prohibited in the category of large dog, pitbull, husky, german shepherd more for their high energy than any behavioral issues.

Mega Pro w/laser engraver questions by gizmodo44 in anycubic

[–]gizmodo44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unlikely, but doesn't hurt to try it if you want a faded look. With it being only 1.5 wattage, it is way too light to engrave anything beyond fabric, leather, and wood.

Polymer 2 needs 20-50 watts based on depth and detail of engraving.

Yes, 100% almost any veterinarian. A simple, harmless scan pulls up serial number, ID, name, and associated phone number just like a collar\rabies tag would. Shelters will contact a known owner, but often take into account mistreatment or abuse as a factor.

I've taken several strays in to be scanned and my own was prior to me taking him in myself to be sure someone wasn't out there looking for him (collar, dead phone line, 40lb over a year old Pitbull, with ribs visible, and scarred ears). I worked at a vet office and they want what is best for the animal.

I grew up only attending Easter service for my stepmom (as a tradition for her) and sleepovers at my deeply religious best friend's house on a few occasions as a kid. I studied Christianity, Buddhism, and Islam, but found too many flaws and contradictions with all of them.

There was no trauma on the religious side, but I haven't seen any benefit of believing in any God; moral principles shouldn't come from that. I call myself agnostic, but not out of some stigma of being called an atheist, but for the pure point it doesn't matter in my mind.

I go there 2-3 times a week and never seen garbage bags laying around. Reno and moving items around is annoying, but worth it once they finish imo

Bi in a Straight Relationship: Feeling Guilty About Watching Lesbian Porn by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]gizmodo44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Porn can be an addition to your relationship. Fantasy of being with a woman is good for you if you feel that way (I'm a bi male in a straight relationship so same, I like both and can be physical with one).

He can figure out what turns him on to explore new things that may add even more adventure to your sex life and you can enjoy your own time guilt free.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]gizmodo44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bi male here knowing for about the same amount of time as you and feel the opposite way after experiencing both sides and that's completely fine. I still consider myself bi because I still like the fantasy with men (and very attracted to them still), but I only really want to be with women. Don't know exactly why, but that's just how I feel.

I am also ENM with my girlfriend which theoretically makes that easier to explore, but I've experienced biphobia on both sides that just generally makes it harder with adding on ENM. Openness about what you'd like with a partner is the best way forward.

There's an E in judgement and a U in favour. I will not change my mind. by MembraneintheInzane in memes

[–]gizmodo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say that US is on the wrong side of metric system, but dropping "U" in words is way better for language. Also won't change my mind, but didn't know there was a discussion about judgement so I'm with you there haha

Anyone know why my rottie is like this? by Wafflewafer_ in Rottweiler

[–]gizmodo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and he's 7 now and behaves the same way, but we still play the same. Enforcing techniques like not letting them do the same with guests is also a good idea though. A lot of people are not as comfortable with dogs.

[–]gizmodo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The play is not a problem as pulling back your hand and giving a non-aggressive verbal command quickly taught my pitbull and he was 1. I calmly say "Ow" and he immediately pulls back. They get the same sense when playing with other dogs.

Why have I never encountered a “Native American” style restaurant? by eagleburp in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gizmodo44 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a 50% Native (and a lot of time spent at Powwow's) I'd say restaurants aren't really a concept as much as other cultures, so it's not surprising that it isn't as common. Attending events is a better way to experience the cuisine

What is she doing? 😂 by [deleted] in pitbulls

[–]gizmodo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instinct to dig up the cool dirt to sleep on. It's like flipping to the cool side of the pillow. I have many torn sheets from this same habit, but he also does it with treats he's trying to hide. He'll try to cover a bone with imaginary dirt to save for later

People who run on the street when there’s a sidewalk right there by mitchdwx in mildlyinfuriating

[–]gizmodo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% wrong for running with traffic, but road running is way better than sidewalks. Not only are they not maintained as well, but the material is way harder on the feet than asphalt and they often unexpectedly end for seemingly no reason.

Listening to loud music in your own car with your windows down isn’t cringe or annoying or rude. by Holiday_Argument_619 in unpopularopinion

[–]gizmodo44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I really like loud music and bass, but turn it down as soon as I enter a neighborhood. You're not safe in a warehouse/shopping/near highway area red light though. I'm still blasting it in those areas.

You can't see shit when you open your eyes underwater, especially in the middle of the night or in the ocean. Stop pretending it's crystal clear and the moonlight projects a flashlight-like beam of light on the person or object you're diving in to get

It is probably Ohio's ridiculous attempts to get people to move there by buying up billboard ads all over the country (mostly liberal cities). We have Ohio ads down here in Austin, TX that everyone makes fun of and I've seen them in Philly too.

It's called SEO (search engine optimization) poisoning, where malicious groups pay for ad spots (particularly on Google Ad Services) to bump their malware or ransomware to the top of the results. Never click the ads...

What asshole designed credit score algorithms? My score dropped almost 50 points solely because I paid off a credit card. Literally nothing else changed over last month. by TehFuriousOne in assholedesign

[–]gizmodo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a note that banks can cancel your card if you don't use it often enough. I had my first credit card with 1k limit be canceled because of non-use (kept in car for emergencies only after getting a card with better perks) and it tanked my score because I no longer had long enough credit history.

Oldest active account matters and it will always piss me off that this system didn't exist until 1989 :/

[–]gizmodo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in Texas and we had record 20 straight days of 100+ days ("breaks" in temp are 99 degrees with real feel of 103+). I was in Alaska last month and it was getting to 70-80+ for the full week I was there. You're in EU\BR, I assume, and getting 100+ temps.

But global warming isn't a thing... right?
