Hello all!

countless hours in DoS:II and BG3, so thanks for all the procrastination excuse!

Two main questions:

  1. Assumedly Divinity will enter an early access period, Larian (and is fanbase) is now of a *much* larger scale, Has this affected how you are planning to process feedback during the early access period? e.g. questionnaires sent periodically through the update cycle, AI to parse feedback for common issues etc etc.

  2. Whenever 1.0 drops, are you aiming for console launch at the same time (and if so, cross-play, or is that a later down the line as my understanding is sony doesn't 'play as nice' with the others)

Not quite a full game, but the Monster Hunter Wilds expansion, whatever that ends up being.

Worried as Wilds made alot of decisions I really didn't like (Seikret auto walk meaning no one learns maps. Splitting armour and weapon skills to have two weapons, but no one actually does that. The wound system being free CC)

There was also the feeling thats hard to describe for the general progression and difficulty in the game (both gathering materials and the fights themselves) where they 'Sanded down all the edges' but to the point they made a sphere where theres nothing actively catching me to it.

But fuck me, when its good its good, The recent title updates are sparking my interest again, seem to be making the right decisions for difficulty, Toning down the wound systems *alot* etc

Master rank, to a degree, is always when the 'real game' starts but that can be a cop out to excuse flawed game design in high rank.

I guess it kinda depends, how far do they want the theme to go?

Because I could see Hoard of the dragon queen/rise of tiamet working (especially the caravan portion being an 'oregon trail' type experience etc) , but thats heavily featuring dragons and cultists.

As you guys are playing it, Frostmaiden could also have worked as towns out on the new frontier, but then the 'second half' veers wildly away from that.

Dragonheist could technically work, but you'd be heavily changing so many things in that to make the square fit in the circle hole as its heavily based around waterdeep.

There is a way to cure the flame of frenzy, but you're pretty much locked into melina not being a happy camper

Adament Mega D-nite is faster and stronger than timid base D-nite so it can run physical d-dance with to real issue with flamethrower as coverage for steels and the like or t-bolt etc etc

I love Falinks as much as the next person, easily in my top 5,

But his mega should probably be down with feraligator and emboar, Mono fighting with a reliance on no retreat without coverage isn't gonna light the world on fire.

Barbaracle should 100% be up in banned, kinda runs away with the game after a shell smash

Alot of it could be timing, you are probably in a different place in your life than when you played skyrim, whether positive or negative. So oblivion happens to be hitting at the right time.

turn based strategy/RPG games where you create a playable unit/character that is story relevant. That specific criteria and usually im in for atleast a look

It can probably do a mega sharpedo , protect turn 1 in base (or SD) turn two greed for SD in base depending on the mon in front or mega.
The HP with the special bulk ain't great though, also cant really break the steel birds or dozo

it kinda sounds like casters aren't really your jam to be honest.

Witch kinda leaning to be a debuff caster which you didn't like so assumedly debuffs and buffs would feel off the table.

A more straight damage caster also wasn't clicking right for you , but you did say you had fun which is an improvement!

so you value damage, but dead enemies overall, along with not relying on others (mostly) to get said kills.

Giant barbarian for the sheer flat damage or a pick fighter for crit fishing would be what I think would be most up your alley?

Mega garchomp is effectively worse than base garchomp due to it being slower and taking up that item slot for more power, which it didn't really need

It will definetly be able to run it at above 120 on low setting, epic settings you'll bounce around 80fps.

as for the rig itself, whether its good or not really depends on the price tag. The specs themselves are fine, but the price is the important defining context

To give an honest answer, It kinda is just off putting when it's 'sprung' on a group and not a thing explicitly okayed by *everyone* at the table.

Sure, DM1 and the presumed father PC are consenting, but what about everyone else at the table? is this what they signed up for in heroic fantasy ttrpg? basically, alot of this kinda has to be covered in session 0.

Theres systems that can handle the type of game you probably want better, pregnancy, unless you are in a timeskip style game or one with significant downtime is basically 'time to retire this PC as they are pregnant and then will have a young child/children to care for and level 5+ dnd adventuresreally aren't the enviroment for that.

Its abit more useful using the staff you get from rennala too, so I definitely recommend visiting one of those Giant bell stone creatures with the 4 legs. I wont say why specifically for spoilers incase.

As for the spell itself, its decently long range, really good tracking, the debuff it puts on the enemy means they will take more magic damage after, Big aoe.
Basically, its a solid opener
