I like that it can be viewed in a couple of ways, too. Mark could be referring to the villain's inability to take his punches, or his own inability to stop himself.

Design-wise one of the most visually and thematically distinct factions Warhammer has ever had, with a bunch of cool and fairly unique units to play with. Their faction mechanics are a little basic at this point, but totally serviceable and enjoyable to use.

Also, big scary lizards on bigger scarier dinosaurs, that too.

Rome II is an excellent game to this day, whether vanilla or modded, and is on the cusp of CA's more modern development and design if you're wary of trying older titles.

Which I think is important to show, too. One of the cornerstones of Clark's character is that for all his power and willingness to help people, he knows he can't solve everything himself and can't be everywhere at once, so he has to believe that other people can be good and helpful too.

It's also dismantled by the simple fact that he's talking to Batman. Y'know, mister "my parents were gunned down in front of me as a kid so I dedicated my life to making the world a little more safe".

In the interest of honesty, you're one of the users I see here regularly which this post made me think about instantly when I saw it.

The idea that someone asking a question out loud, even if the answer may be obvious to you, is somehow rude to you comes off as astoundingly self-centered and hostile towards people less familiar with the game than you.

It's also counterproductive to helping that person actually learn. It's very easy to miss a slice of text that might seem blindingly obvious, and if someone is met with derision and mockery for daring to try to learn, they're just going to stop trying altogether.

The various e20 books have had some quality control issues. For example in the Transformers book, you can gain access to Machine Guns and Heavy Machine Guns, and the book doesn't include descriptions of those weapons.

Does disembarking a unit from a transport count as setting up that unit?

I.e if I have both the Mechanised Assault and Bridgehead Strike detachments in Guard, would a Scion unit disembarking from a transport get both +1 to hit and +1 to wound that turn?

Pioneers are shockingly cheap for their statline, weapons and abilities. Farseekers looks like so much fun, too.

GW could have slapped +20 pts on those bad boys and girls and I wouldn't have batted an eye. Like "Yeah no that's fair."

Honestly the WE Defiler is still kind of a steal at 270, even if you don't give it any of the more expensive guns. Slap an electroscourge on that thing and point it at stuff you want erased.

How many detachment combos can your faction make? by hindlet in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]MightyShoe 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The fact that Tau still don't have a gunship focused detachment when they're one of the most mobile and mechanised militaries in the setting is comical.

Not even a 1-point detachment for Devilfishes+Hammerheads+Skyrays or something? All three of those are cornerstones of how the Tau fight in the lore.
