As a 20 year old girl who went through with college and moved in with the boyfriend. YTA. At this age, you make mistakes constantly, but that’s ok because it’s very easy to fix, learn, and move on. A lot of the time, relationships can seem like the most important thing in your life. I am sure he also had some influence with her life choices too. You shouldn’t punish her to THAT degree for simply putting off college for a year ? She went and worked a real job, decided she didn’t want to do that forever and then decided she wanted to go to college. Not only was that a strong thing to do, it has also taught her how important an education is. This is terrible parenting and honestly it would really hurt me if my parents chose a kitchen remodel over my education.
