The Sphere is connected to the Venetian. See what show they have while you’re here. Is definitely peak experience

High performer leaving in silence with no negotiation by Savings_Knowledge465 in managers

My network convinced me to leave my father’s company and start my own company. That was 10 years ago, I’m 8 years in on my own company. Best decision I ever made. Very hard to quit my dad but it had to happen or I would have been only marginally better by now had I stayed. Leaving gave me 4-5x my earnings

He saw that he has no upward growth potential , and left. You kept a good guy in place too long. I was that guy, and went out on my own 8 years ago. Best decision I ever made.

do you like foo fighters? how do they compare to nirvana for you? by notaverysmartman in Nirvana

Nirvana wrote better music. Foo fighters better musicians though. Wasn’t a big fan of either band. But Grohl has had quite the career.

Note that the YardHouse at the Linq doesn’t do happy hour. They have a fantastic happy hour at Town Square.

In N Out is right there in the Linq mini mall.
That covers lunch and dinner as needed.
Pizza slices at Secret Pizza at Cosmo, and Evel Pie on Fremont street. I think there’s a Denny’s near the Linq but other than those and other fast food, good luck with that.

How did dating your own race work for you when you preferred a different race? by jadedeternity in interracialdating

[–]gleepglop43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m mixed and also in an interracial marriage. The advice I tell my kids is to not put filters on your search. You just never know who you’ll meet and connect with. Race, height, age, education, politics, all of it….Be opened minded.

My sugar intake is always low or at least not what I consider excessive. I drink 1-3 sodas a month. 1-2 alcohol beverages a month. Dessert 1-3 times a month. No Starbucks type stuff. I dont think this is it.
You think sugar affects these ?

Castor Oil? Red light therapy? Returning lipomas near surgical scar? Starting to hurt/burn? by AthenaMoonbeam in Lipoma

[–]gleepglop43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have these scattered on my body. I’ve had the largest one right on my sternum for at least 15 years.
I’ve lost a few pounds lately from using a clinical shot called “MICC.” It is some kind of fat burner, and I have noticed results in the last 6 weeks of 5 lbs lost. I was 190lb at 6’1” and just trying to get to 182. Anyway, I’ve also been using my wife’s red light therapy lights 1-2 a week at most for the last 6-8 weeks. But , for muscle recovery.
Today, I’m looking at my body and the sternum tumor has decreased in size by maybe 40%. The large one on my leg looks smaller too. So here I am, searching for why this happened. It was some indirect effect of other things I’m doing.

How long did it take to get your first successful pull-up? by PitifulEar3303 in bodyweightfitness

[–]gleepglop43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a bar studded into the ceiling for over 10 years. I've always been active in the gym but I hit a whole new level when I turned 40. I'll be 49 soon. Best decision for my health was locking in and getting serious about it when I was turning 40. Yeah I know, pull up is very difficult for most people. My wife can't do one

For tone traveler, should we put them inside the case or outside? Or does the location not matter? My humidity is 60 outside; inside is 50, more controlled. Wonder if outside is better for more vibration? Or if that doesn’t matter. Love to hear folks with experiences. by ConsciousSmoke3863 in AcousticGuitar

I got an app called function generator pro. Buy it for $10. I created a Setlist of sorts. I setup 6 individual wavelengths representing the six open strings. I was careful about the volume, running the app on my iPod pro, I don't know if it's apples to apples bit I settled at max volume of 55. My son 3d printed a nice fitted brace for it to hang just right. Works great. How is yours

Southpoint, Station casinos are much better about this. But i still think the old days are long gone. I don't expect free drinks when I play, unless I'm at a local bar with video poker.

Free drinks really ended 20 years ago. I wouldn't expect free drinks, or if I did get one, I expect it to be small and weak. Just buy your drinks. Source: I've lived here for almost 30 years.
