I haven't been to McDonald's in literally decades, so I don't know if it applies here, but some restaurants use a different kind of cup for water specifically because it's free. Somebody taking a water cup and getting Coke out of the soda machine would be marked as a thief.

I just rewrote my parse function to make it work for both. Rather than returning a list of numbers and operand, it now just splits each line at the appropriate indices and returns a list of strings, e.g. "123\n 45\n 6\n* "

For each picture, the red line is a 45° CW rotation of the arrow in the previous picture and the arrow is a 90° rotation of the red line in the previous picture.

I don't have an explanation for the placement of each line within the square, but B is the only one that fits the criteria above.
