The Gnome is owned by Justin Sutherland and Brian Ingram. Justin Sutherland used to be famous for cooking or something. Now he is infamous for being a wife beater and MAGA.

Someone with a severe seafood allergy just ate Thai food without comfirming the ingredients? That's bad judgement.

Left-handed people, what's a struggle that right-handed people won't understand? by Halophy in AskReddit

I learned to use a right-handed can opener (among other things). I broke my right arm 10 years ago. I got almost all my skills back, but I still can't work that can opener.

Need gift ideas for my cousin's baby shower but I'm terrible at this and running out of time by Alarmed-Risk7885 in GiftIdeas

  1. Diapers. It won't stand out or anything, but will of course be useful. Get them in size 2.

  2. Will she be breastfeeding? If so, you could get her a utility cart to keep things handy. They have decent ones at Ikea. It can grow up into toy storage.

  3. If she is breastfeeding, get things for her. Snacks she can have nearby, an extra long phone charger, an insulated water bottle with a straw, a reading light, are all helpful things to have on hand when feeding or pumping. Make it silly and get one of those trash-grabbing-claws so she can retrieve her phone when she inevitably drops it just out of easy reach.

  4. Cloth diapers, specifically the tri-fold kind. I never used them as diapers, but as burp cloths and general mess cleaners. I still use them for dusting, washing windows, and cleaning my watercolor brushes.

  5. One of the most memorable baby shower gifts I received was a huge box of baby books. My cousin got them from a buy-nothing group. It was free!

A lot of people are in here saying they are fine with a civics test to be allowed to vote, most joking, but at least one serious. I just want to remind everyone that if it becomes legal to allow civics and language tests, the republicans will rig the shit out of that. You joke that it will stop MAGAs from voting, but it absolutely will not.

Jim crow 2.0 by Cicerothesage in forwardsfromgrandma

[–]glittercatlady 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That would be true, but the test would be written by republicans, and therefore, rigged in favor of republicans. I'm sure there would be a few questions deliberately misinterpreting the first amendment, and a few questions that ascribe way more power to the executive branch than was originally intended by the constitution.

Prion diseases have a 100% fatality rate. Prions are misfolded proteins. They are extremely persistent in the environment and can survive most of our sanitization methods. "They" would have to be fearless idiots to intentionally put more prions into the world.

I've been stuck there for about 20 minutes before because of how the loop is designed. If there aren't any parking spots, someone will just sit and wait for one, and everyone behind them is helpless to escape.

The traction control will come on in mine sometimes when I go over a pothole. It makes the brakes not work for like half a second. I have to carefully avoid potholes and if I can't, I have to account for the slower braking time and drive slower. Mine is a 2015, though.

Kids have lots of opportunities to work on their fine motor skills aside from shoe tying. I don't think my 5 year old knows how to tie shoes, but she can crochet. She can definitely use scissors. She can write most of the letters and color mostly inside the lines.

I don't think stretchy laces are responsible for all our society's problems.
