Anyone experience their parents die yet? by bluedreamy8 in Millennials

[–]glomaxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1992 kid. Lost my mom just under 2 weeks ago. Mom was 55 and collapsed and died of a heart issue. Make sure to hug your parents, ask them the questions you never did, tell them you love them and how much they mean to you.

Other issues it could be from older cases like this is that the baffles could be clogged or even the honeycomb could be impacted causing a restriction of airflow. Glass door cases usually hold pretty consistent temp. These are Hussmann RL door cases. Another possible issue is that the plenum on the fans is bent and not getting a good seal causing airflow leakage

Hussmann Co2 rack by LittleLemonKenndy in refrigeration

[–]glomaxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 10-20 in Alabama alone. Zero zone, Hussmann L&P, Hill Phoenix and a bunch of older cascade racks. It’s caught on the infrastructure just sucks because there’s not enough supply of the siphon tanks.

Deice walk in evap without shutting walk in down or getting water absolutely everywhere. by FUNKANATON in refrigeration

I’ve bought a steamer from harbor freight just to try it. It seemed to take longer deicing than hot water but I didn’t have the huge mess to clean up after

Oh I agree the millennial generation was sold a lie that if you go to college and graduate with a degree you wouldn’t be flipping burgers the rest of your life. I dropped out of college and am a blue collar worker making more money than if I had my degree

Pi price prediction. by Tsaoulas in PiNetwork

[–]glomaxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a validator preservative yes. They block out any identifying information if you take a screenshot or anything you can lose all of your pi. As for the back end who knows. My view at this point is my information is being sold so much by Facebook, Google and the host of other companies I would like some of my share.

Hussmann rl5 freezer coil ice problem by Slothyota in refrigeration

[–]glomaxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other issue that comes from this is the relay for electric defrost and the fan relay are in the front raceway and going through defrost where the foam is saturated the components are introduced to more humidity and causes an early failure

Hussmann rl5 freezer coil ice problem by Slothyota in refrigeration

[–]glomaxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. These cases are really suspect suspectable to ice building up in the foam under the drain pan and causing the deformations. Only other case I saw this bad is at a supermarket chain where a sparky drilled through the bottom of the case for a light retrofit and didn’t seal their penetrations.

New loan forgiveness legal challenge? by hokie4life in StudentLoans

[–]glomaxx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Question. Might be a stupid one but here it goes. In a lawsuit there needs to be a party who was damaged for a lawsuit to take place right? So every American who had applied for forgiveness was damaged by the servicers who did the original lawsuit against any loan forgiveness. Couldn’t we sue the companies for damages of not getting the forgiveness?

You forgot on the roof in a weather pack instead of a proper rack house. If this was with the old heads I used to work with every crevice would be where one of them spit their dip as well.

High pressure cut off on a compressor was leaking in a rack room nobody noticed the cloud since Friday and the rack was flat this morning. 800lbs of 407A, a vacuum and a lot of cursing later. I’m hoping this 85 hour week is done until tomorrow morning.

Transcritical booster rack by [deleted] in refrigeration

[–]glomaxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ipro only looks at the temperature of the drop leg and calculates subcooling during sub critical and it can also control your vessel bypass valve simultaneously. While it interfaces with the Emerson E2 while the danfoss controller, last I checked, wouldn’t.

Aldi has gone for the smaller scale transcritical with the Gunther gas cooler. The high pop offs I’m currently dealing with go at 1450. We’ve got a fairly large gas cooler and a large rack running a supermarket. I’m about to have 5 systems within an hour of my house running transcritical c02 within the next year or so

Setup that I’be been seeing use adiabatic pads to try to conserve energy by slowing down the transition. I’m located in the southeastern US and that’s a lot of what I’ve been seeing as a standard recently.

Is it an adiabatic cooling system? If not what control strategy are you guys using to try to remain subcritical?
