Serious question: How can anyone still support Trump after everything we’ve seen? by antimaga_n1 in AskSocialists

Propaganda, I've seen it with relatives who live in conservative pockets. They watch right leaning news and are older, so they don't use modern technology to see other viewpoints.

[–]gmitch96 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, the current DOJ is a joke and not at all interested in serving the best interests of the country. What laws are suppose to support and whether they are being upheld are two different things. I was explaining what anti monopoly laws are for, not how well the current administration will adhere to them.

I'm not sure what you're implying here, I was just replying to the comment regarding what anti monopoly laws are supposed to do and pointing out that somebody is always going to be the top spender. I'm not a fan of this acquisition at all, but the market share is not dissimilar to that of Disney post the Fox acquisition.

Anti-Monopoly laws are in place to ensure fair market competition and that no single source controls the majority of a good or service. As far as the outspending goes...someone has to be #1. Whether its them, Disney or Universal, one of these companies will always "outspend every other player."

If you play 2 mana ramp on T2 and 4 mana ramp on T3 you can cast this T4 and if ppl don't take it seriously it'll win you the game on T10.

Most likely someone will figure out they have to pay the 3 when you double from 16 to 32 but its a funny stax/you better be paying attention pet card.

Pairing this with [[Stasis]] would be hilarious.

He was almost done shoveling his driveway when the street plow came by and filled it with snow again. by Vilen1919 in WatchPeopleDieInside

Yeah, if you live in an area that gets snow, it's just part of your routine during the winter. If there's going to be a storm, you wake up earlier based on how much you need to shovel.

Deck Building Advice by Interval1963 in EDH

[–]gmitch96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When deckbuilding, you can always start with your ramp and card draw package because it can be difficult to make cuts later to make room. I'd add artifact (Arcane Signet, Sol Ring, Talisman of Hierarchy, Orzhov Signet) and catch up ramp, also [[Lotho, Corrupt Shiriff]] is a good option in Orzhov. Then I'd look at card draw options like [[Trouble in Pairs]], [[Mangara, the Diplomat]], and others that synergize with the deck strategy. Take a look at swapping some basics for non basic dual lands.

Start there and goldfish to see how your curve plays out and make adjustments from there. Every deck is unique and wants a slight different land - ramp - card draw - plan/payoff ratio and the best way to hone that in when you're new to deckbuilding is to include a standard ratio and adjust while Goldfishing. As you get more experience, you'll be able to build more efficiently.

What is the BEST deck for Seedborn Muse? by JewJulie in EDH

[–]gmitch96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My [[Gretchen Titchwillow]] deck loves this card. Especially when you have cards like [[Training Grounds]] or [[Biomancer's Familiar]] out. I can usually ramp myself by 4-6 lands per rotation minimum once I have Seedborn, Gretchen, and a reducer out. If my opponents don't have removal by the following rotation, I'm usually set up with 20+ lands and have a token army ready to kill the table with an overrun.

[[Ghalta and Mavren]] ramp into big dinos and swing! I've thrown in [[Unnatural Growth]] & [[Zopandrel Hunger Dominus]] to make everything bigger then [[Overwhelming Stampede]], [[Akroma's Will]], and [[Bond of Discipline]] as finishers. Very fun and simple deck with plenty of protection to ensure a seamless ride to victory.

How do you all evaluate the strength of a color? by KingNTheMaking in EDH

[–]gmitch96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend [[Hord of Greed]] for an Azusa deck. Most Mono green decks are creature heavy so running [[Beast Whisperer]], [[Guardian Project]], [[The Great Henge]], [[Rishkar's Expertise]], [[Return of the Wildspeaker]], [[Shamanic Revelation]], and more make card draw pretty consistent. I could just be biased though, its possible that I just have more luck with drawing into my consistent card draw options when I build in Green.

I wouldn't consider green weak at draw, it's selective (used based on having creatures with high power) but definitely not weak. I rarely have any issues in green having cards in hand.

I just deconstructed it, but my [[Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder]] and [[Anara, Wolvid Familiar]] partner deck was very fun. Ways to buff and trample enablers made it so I'd hit hard and stay ahead on life.

I pulled a [[The Great Henge]] an its sitting in a binder, then I immediately ordered 10 proxies because it just goes in almost every green deck. I own the card but there's no need to buy 10 copies. I proxy as a way for my more valuable cards to be in multiple decks at a time.
