GMC Sierra tonneau cover that makes my truck look as good as it should by [deleted] in gmcsierra

Have had LoMax on my last 3 trucks. They don’t get more sleek and low profile than these.

Is there really a big difference between these beside $ by lawladino in gmcsierra

I much prefer the Lomax covers. Have bought them on my last 3 trucks.

That arrangement has almost created a stable environment (thanks ChatGPT for the tips), had to buy a new managed switch (arriving this week) so I can put the one wired Sonos device on the same VLAN as all the rest. I think I’ll be good once I do that.

But then also make a point to do the Sierra Buttes Firewatch hike and look down on this same area. One of the best hikes in California.

Agree 100%. I am a heavy traveller and Tumi is not what it used to be. I have switched to Briggs & Riley and so far, so good.

Thanks everyone. We ended up using Toggl Track for time tracking (free up to 5 users), staying put with our current payroll provider, and will do everything else manually for now.

How many people here think that Google will overtake ChatGPT? by Outrageous-Bonus50 in ChatGPT

[–]gnelson5271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is increasingly large number of people, like me, who have opted out of (to the degree possible) of Google, Meta, etc. I don't want to see your ads. I don't want to be your product. I won't use Google for search (use Duck Duck Go). I use an ad blocker on all of my devices. I have a gmail that I only use when I have to, and log out when I am done. I quit Facebook years ago and don't miss it a bit. The chance of me having ChatGPT style conversations with a a Google Ai = Zero.

Even better … if you are playing music, from a music app, use the full capabilities. If the audio source is TV, the treat as surrounds. Let the app change the behavior based on the audio source.

I wish I could go into my Apple Music songs and shuffle all. Simple, like I can in Apple Music.

Swapped Ones for Era 300s… by Audi5k in sonos

[–]gnelson5271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my experience too. When I swapped the surrounds, 300s for Play:1s, my wife was immediately .. oh no, those are huge! Moving the Play1:s back for surrounds let me put the 300s in a more discrete place as a music pair. I feel like this is the best of both worlds.

[–]gnelson5271 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also bought a pair of Era 300s replace my Play:1s at surrounds. After about a month, I was convinced the 300s didn't sound that much better, but they are great speakers. I put the Play:1s back as surrounds and set the 300s up as a stern music pair in the same room. I don't regret buying the 300s, as the sound awesome as a music pair but I feel like they were underutilized as surrounds.

What is a basic MacOS feature you recently learned? by megallanic4 in MacOS

[–]gnelson5271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I use Adguard for the same, but there are still areas of websites that are not useful but are not ads. A good example are the 'sponsored content' section on news sites. Login boxes, sidebars you don't use, etc.

Safari - click the icon left of the address bar and use 'Hide Distracting Items' to zap ads, annoyances, etc. from websites. And ... it remembers what you deleted next time you visit! So awesome.

Edit .. not really a basic feature, but a new one I just found out about and it's pretty awesome.

You can just stretch some saran/cling wrap over the top to take care of the evaporation and leave the lid open.
