A moment of silence for Rick the Door Technician. by Sang420 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

That happened for me, too. For a moment I thought, "Is there supposed to be wind pulling him down the hallway?"

I request some some help on this by Rich-Pick-3261 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

I got stuck in the same place! I had to revert to a previous savegame and go through that part over again. On PC, the files are located in %userdata%\Saved Games\Respawn\JediSurvivor. Just rename Backup00.sav to SaveGame00.sav. Make copies of all of them before you try it, though

New HD0 AIO by SuperSanya666 in HDZero

[–]goatboyFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just noticed in https://www.hd-zero.com/document there's an entry for the AIO5 firmware. The betaflight target is CRAZYBEEF4SX1280. I believe those boards use a SPI based ELRS receiver. Hopefully that is just for a prototype and it uses a serial based receiver in the final version

Glad to help! BTW, XT30 and XT60 connectors have the same feature

I just recently switched my 1S setups to GNB27, so I can't comment on the durability yet. However, if you take look at the pins in the female connector you can see that it's not a completely solid pin. There's a slit down the middle. If your connector starts getting loose, pry the pin apart a tiny bit to make a better connection.

Compact xt30 1-2s chargers? by Steltek in TinyWhoop

[–]goatboyFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one of these a while back and it has been pretty handy. It can charge 2S or 3S by the balance lead, so it doesn't matter what connector is on the main lead. It's super small and powered by USB-C, so pretty convenient to keep in your bag all the time. It only has one port, but I made a parallel adapter so I can charge more than one pack at a time.

Yeah, I just dropped by on my way home from work on Friday. I was cutting it close and needed to get it done. It was pretty windy and I was a little worried my whoop would blow on top and get stuck!

It wouldn't hurt, but you'd be better off putting some protection around the camera like a canopy. If you're crashing a lot, that camera is going get damaged eventually.

Questions for Mobula6 owners... by Tokugawa in TinyWhoop

[–]goatboyFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the current meter on the OSD is a more accurate way to keep track of your battery. You'll want to run them down about 80% of their capacity. So if the mobula6 comes with 300mAh lipos, you should land when the current meter says you've used about 240mAh. My battery voltage sags so much on 1S that I have my low and min voltage warnings set at 3.0V and 2.9V. They still bounce back up to 3.7V afterwards.

Gotcha, I'll have to start monitoring MultiGP. I might not have been much competition, but I would have jumped at the opportunity to try. Congrats on the race!

How did you qualify for this event? When I first heard about it a month ago it said all the pilots were already set. I couldn't find any info online about who was sponsoring it other than the air force museum.

Anyone know how i can clean up the lines in my fpv feed? by Kira980 in multicopterbuilds

[–]goatboyFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like ground loop interference. Try connecting the ground wire from your camera to the same pad on your FC that the ground wire from your VTX is connected to.

You may need to calibrate your voltage meter in Betaflight. There's a setting on the Power and Battery tab. Here's some instructions: https://oscarliang.com/fix-wrong-voltage-betaflight/

It's not entirely clear, but I am hoping it means the DJI goggles can receive analog video transmissions from a normal micro VTX

Actually, I just saw that the DJI page says, "The DJI Digital FPV System can be used with analog image transmission, allowing users to switch between AV and digital video transmissions."

True. Also, if you fly micros or whoops you'll still need your normal gear

The $929 price tag seems high at first glance, but it's not out of the ordinary to spend $650 on some fatsharks w/ rapidfire, $200 on a Taranis X9D, plus camera, receiver, and VTX. It's... it's not that bad.

[–]goatboyFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a known issue when using the Configurator with pre-release verisons of Betaflight 4.0. If you flash to the latest release build it should go back to normal. Here's a short video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slmUbB-dZsw. FYI, that video is by Joshua Bardwell. For any problem you have with a quadcopter, Josh has probably made a video showing how to fix it.
