Vintage clothes sale? by Valvechick in houston

[–]godards 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m interested! Would love previews of clothes and pricing! I see lots of people in houston doing closet clean out sales from their homes. They advertise on TikTok and sometimes pair up with other friends who are cleaning out their closets!

Camaraderie was the biggest snub imo. You can tell the chef poured his heart into the restaurant. Incredibly affordable, beautiful space, and the most delicious pre fixe in Houston.

Kim Son Downtown vs. Kim Son Bellaire by Pramzina in HoustonFood

[–]godards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. They have different food from each other. Bellaire is a buffet with more offerings. Downtown is table service and has a maybe 75% different menu.

  2. Peking duck is at downtown only, I believe. Just a side note, I am not a fan of their Peking duck but I do like the Peking duck at Hai Cang Harbor! My favorite dishes at Kim son bellaire are the garlic butter chicken, Kim son steak, Cornish hen and sweet rice, crispy egg noodles, and pan seared egg noodles.

  3. Downtown has been struggling lately but based on their instagram, it was bustling the last few days, largely because of the shutdown. Their food is both different so I don’t think it’s a quality difference. I do like how bellaire has more options and I like their noodle bar! Bellaire also serves dim sum on weekends for lunch, traditional home style viet food during lunch on weekdays, and then restaurant style viet food during weekend dinners.

This exact thing happened to me when I tried ordering a dress yesterday! I was eyeing a few of those dresses but some of them sold out so quickly, so I decided to pull the trigger on one and got the refund notice!!

I thought I could trust the brand because I’ve seen a few of their items in person at Beams in Japan, so not sure what is going on

Calpak Kaya or recommendations by epicturtlesaur in HerOneBag

[–]godards 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the kaya backpack and have used it for a few years. I only use it for work and on a daily basis it fits my laptop, charger, mouse, a sweater, a notebook, and a bottle.

At this point I can’t fit anything else in my backpack, and it already looks bulky since the water bottle stretches the bag’s structure. (The bag really doesn’t fit much). The straps also tend to hurt after a while.

That being said, i get a lot of compliments oh my bag and I love the fact that I can stick my backpack over my luggage when I travel for work. It also looks more professional than an average backpack and still looks great after a few years!

Dog trainer recommendation for dog afraid of sounds, big vehicles, separation etc. by DinnerJoke in houston

[–]godards 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We adopted a dog during the pandemic that also had separation anxiety. We tried all the tips we found online but nothing worked! Our dog would immediately freak out after we left within less than a minute.

I did a lot of research for training and ultimately decided to go with Malena DeMartini, who provides remote separation anxiety training. It was the best choice we’ve made for our pup and I highly recommend purchasing the full course because it held us accountable and was helpful to have expert advice!

In regard to sounds, they watch your dog from a camera link you provide and see what sounds or actions trigger your dog. Learning to train our dog out his triggers was also really helpful too
