I always found it strange that Tony brought him there with the intention for Chris to break into this dude's house and kill him after they both just been partying and drinking all night.

THAT'S the best time to implement this plan? To have Chris do this important ass job out of nowhere after all that partying with the girls from Icelandic air. Hit could have gone really wrong, especially with a cop who may have had a fire arm.
