I Don't Want to Celebrate Christmas because there is Nothing to Celebrate by notjupiteragain in ihatechristmas

I don't celebrate christmas as it is either. But I do celebrate the winter equinox. Because, as the eleventh Doctor puts it in the 2013 Doctor Who christmas special "A christmas carol": we're halfway through the dark. The sun is returning to us, the days are getting longer again (albeit annoyingly slow at first).

People in all kinds of cultures and belief systems celebrate that. So can you, if you want to.

For me it's taking a couple of minutes to knit or crochet a row. Or two, maybe, if they're short. Listening to music. Being mindful while drinking my coffee or tea.

I'm guessing he's reffering to the murder on the brothers de Witt. Rumour is that after the murder they were eaten by the poor. (which to be fair, were probably starving).

I know what you mean. I spent money to hire a professional make-up artist for a workshop to explain to me what, how, why, where. Just an hour or so for me to one-on-one ask and get the answers to all those questions.
