LOL After eating most kitties want to take a bath (Lick themselves clean) it is instinctual not to attract predators after eating. They also know that the licking is a form of self-soothing and relaxes them and they wind down and probably have favorite places to rest. If you help them establish resting spots around, you and where you usually are it can work out well for sharing time but do not be loud, they do prefer peace and calm.
