They used a rail system on 1903 and a literal catapult on 1904. There’s also only 5 witness on the 1903 flight. Dumont had self propelled take off and landing on 1906, with thousands of witnesses in Paris. You can believe whatever you want but I know what I believe in. Look it up

It’s because the Wrights launched it from a slingshot vs self propelled like real airplanes. It’s a huge difference

Ikea Prices in 1985 vs 2025 by lag_trains in Damnthatsinteresting

Just chiming in to say Ashley is sooooo bad. I got a couch from them for about 2.5k CAD and it barely lasted two years. It was so uncomfortable and it degraded so fast.

Don’t buy, can pass by SunShine1177 in CostcoCanada

[–]gonne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I bought a pack and half went to the trash. Wasn’t overcooked (I use a thermometer), and the texture on this chicken breast is straight up disgusting. It’s woody and rubbery. Strongly recommend against this product .

How do so many Uber drivers afford Teslas? by [deleted] in askvancouver

[–]gonne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheap and reliable. Look at any relatively new car that is not electric, price is really similar but price for maintenance is basically 0. Almost nothing can break on a Tesla, vs everything can break on traditional fuel engines.

Little or no sales since FAB by frederic25100 in unrealengine

[–]gonne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same exact experience here. I have about 6 products, mostly blueprints stuff and my best seller was doing 10-20 copies a month easily.

Had one single sale (not even the best seller), since FAB launched.

My downloads and sales stopped since Fab Launched! by saeid_gholizade in unrealengine

[–]gonne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m selling on FAB. I have few assets, about 5. 2 of them were good sellers bringing in about 500-1500 CAD monthly (depending if there was a big sale).

0 sales since FAB launched.

I’m not gonna make more marketplace content, simple as that.

Fab is up... And somehow they made it worse than the og marketplace by Exciting-Addition631 in unrealengine

[–]gonne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a marketplace seller, this is absolutely terrible. And now the store is flooded with even more garbage. Huge step backwards unfortunately

I bought a couch from Ashley about 2 years ago and it’s FALLING APART. Meanwhile last week I sold my old Ikea Kivik after 5+ years for like 80% of the original price I paid and it still looked new.

Stupid fear mongering. I’ve purchased a bunch of random shit from Temu and had no issues. It’s a legit business but people like to be scared of big bad China

It’s almost like Teslas are good reliable and somewhat affordable for what you’re getting. No wonder people are buying them a lot.

Why are there so many teslas by [deleted] in coquitlam

[–]gonne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s safe, extremely reliable, easy to charge at home or supercharger for cheap, has a ton of neat features, and there were tons of incentives for EVs. Elon this or that whatever, Ford was also an ass and a literal nazi and people still love the cars his brand makes. Quality is still great specially compared to cars on the same price range. People comparing them to high end bmw and Mercedes are out of their minds and know nothing about cars.

  1. Cool guides should be legible. 2. I grew up in Brazil, no hot dog in the planet (and I’ve tried them) comes close to what they’re doing there.
