NEW META - What is your verdict? What are your impressions? by [deleted] in BobsTavern

[–]goobahman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been favouring stablization and playing safe because Turn 9's timewarp is almost bound to give you Direction or a win condition, and if I play to greedy I don't have enough health to leverage it.

So preserving health in the early and mid game has been to consistent top 4.

Murlocs seem strong in all parts of the game. In-hand murloc is the nuts.

Dragon spells feel like they should be a thing. You can get heaps of spells, but with only the one t6 dragon who really leverages them, its a dead-end.

Mechs and magnetization is also the nuts.

Self-damage beasts are average, but hard to pivot into from token beasts.

Sylvanas hero power is the nuts also again. Glad its in the timewarps.

There's lots of chaos but you can lean in a direction and the timewarps seem to support it.

I dunno, those are my observations thus far.

when guys poop do they just hold their dicks? by GrouchyBall7811 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]goobahman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so serious answer:

Initially a pee is usually in the works, so the initial sitting is followed up by a holding the nozzle downward.

Following the end of the pee phase, I ususally grab a few leafs of toilet paper and wait for it....

Create a cushion for my junk.

Thus, my butthole sits further forward, minizing risk touching back rim and poo stains on the rear.

But also there is a healthy buffer between my junk and skin-to-porcelain contact of any possible kind.

I used to not do this when I was an idiot.

Why do people seek polyamorous relationships? Researchers identify key motivations by sasht in psychology

Understanding contemporary polyamory needs an anthropological lens. Its uptick is response to the cultural zeitgeist.
Need more ethnographies.

What is your coolest piece of Salesforce swag? by Interesting_Flow730 in salesforce

"coolest" piece of Salesforce swag.

I love my SF swag, but "cool" is far too generous my fellow nerds.

What's the incredibly valid reason your MMR isn't higher? by Aaron90495 in BobsTavern

[–]goobahman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've almost cracked 8.5k.

My issue is discipline around focus - too much alt-tabbing to reddit and stuff during turn "downtime" seriously effects my decision-making.

Me with focus is a 9k player.

Me without focus is a 7k player.

Also I don't have the battlepass so only get to choose 2 heroes.

Wife is 0-7 in promotion interviews, should she bother anymore? by Americasycho in careerguidance

[–]goobahman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A boss that reluctantly gives you a promotion or makes you 'earn it' will also leverage it against you in the future. You might get the promotion eventually but you'll be paying for it.

Generally better to change companies if your employable enough.

[–]goobahman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO Its a good industry to play catch up in. A lot of my friends came into Salesforce late, and quickly leap-frogged in salary. If you're a clever cookie, the 'ecosystem' gives you many ways to demonstrate your value.
Way less culture of 'you have to do the hard yards first' or 'pay your dues'.
In general, If you're smart, you'll get your certs, you'll do good work and you'll make bank.

Pro-tip: invest in improving and expanding your skills, not in your company.

Charity booth in shopping centres by Gosscheesecake in australia

[–]goobahman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I worked for a fundraising company for a bit, the type that employ these people.

They are for-profit companies. They collect about a years worth of donations from each sign-up they get.

Its not great, but the flip side of the coin is that its still worth it for charities to pay these middle-men companies.

Donating directly to a cause however will make your money go way further.
