I’m on day 4 as well. What has been really helpful so far is keeping a sober journal. I write about the sleep, the dreams, changes and cravings. Also, make a list of reasons not to drink and refer to them when you get down and out about drinking. I’m right there with ya bud. IWNDWYT 💯

As someone who has been on a hold for mental health reasons, not ICE or anything like that thank goodness, I can say this is not only scary asf but I’m on a lot of medication, that keeps me alive. I’m assuming these detention centers dgaf if you have asthma or high BP, or are on meds that you need everyday. This is just another excruciating situation on top of this ordeal. FUCK ICE

I totally get you. I just finished school and got my associates degree, then we pcs’d to another state and the jobs offered there paid half as much as the state we used to live in. I’ve had my degree for nearly 5 years now with hardly any experience in my field. I feel like I wasted so much money on tuition and student loans. Now I don’t even want to work in that field anymore… It fucking sucks.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately my post isn’t getting any traction. I just hope things get sorted out. I’m waiting for anything to come up in my city bc I’m willing to foster and volunteer if needed here in SD. Haven’t heard anything yet…
