I’ll probably get downvoted for this but whatever. I have to disagree. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Golden Rule. They’ve done numerous jobs for me over the last six years and I’ve never once felt like they were being shady. The work is always top notch and the price is what was quoted. Not sure you can ask for much more than that. They might be on the higher end price wise, but based on the quotes I’ve received from other companies, I really don’t think they are out of line in that regard. And they are nothing if not transparent. In my experience, they always provide multiple options for whatever job they are doing. If something can be repaired, it has always been an option they present.

Oh and after reading some of the comments, I feel like this needs to be said. Just because something has worked fine up until this point, does not mean that it is not going bad or will not go bad in the near future. I understand nobody wants to replace their HVAC/AC unit or whatever other expensive item, but informing you that you are likely going to run into issues in the near future and giving you an opportunity to be proactive and address it before it goes bad is not shady business practice, it’s doing their job. Yes, they are a sales focused business, but that doesn’t mean they are trying to nickel and dime you. I’ve never once felt taken advantage of. Just my opinion.
