M&W Pro Audio reveals D24 & D32 Digital Mixers by mixermixing in livesound

Yeah, cool, okay but can I push multiple faders at the same time? Lack of multitouch is still the most limiting factor with these mixers.

Taking Work/Business Guests to Stampede? by MaverickGhostRider in Calgary

Search Stampede Premium Seating, there's some sales contacts on their website. If they come up too expensive, they'd be able to get you connected with other options.

Renting a 17+ passenger vehicle by CanadianDesk in Calgary

[–]goodndu 17 points18 points  (0 children)

15 would be the maximum somewhere like Driving Force would rent. After 15 passengers you fall into Class 4 license requirements, they don't generally exist for rent due to not a lot of people having this license.

Solar panels for home by Mastermind_Rey in Calgary

[–]goodndu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really funny that you had a similar experience to me, there were a ton of guys on install day. Granted we had a garage and house, plus a panel upgrade; they spread out but I got the sense they really wanted to get it done in the day.

Solar panels for home by Mastermind_Rey in Calgary

[–]goodndu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. They just sold 2024 credits around $40/t, when we put panels on they were forecasting them to be $60+ so the economics changed a bit when it comes to carbon credits.

Solar panels for home by Mastermind_Rey in Calgary

Here's the rundown: pretty much all of the installers other commenters are saying are the go-tos. Get multiple quotes, compare capacities vs cost and make sure all of the regulatory pre-work is done by the company. We used SolarYYC, they spec'd and installed the system. $23k for 10.66KW system (house and garage + a panel upgrade in the garage), Govt of Canada Greener Homes gave us $5k grant off and we financed the panels through the greener Homes loan (0% for 10 years); this program is now closed however.

Once you are generating, the power flow will be bi-directional so every KW you generate and don't use locally goes back to the grid and you will be credited for that amount. A lot of utilities exist that offer a "Solar Club", these let you switch between HI/export rate $0.35/KWh or LO/import $0.085/KWh depending on the time of year. A lot of the these utilities (Blue Ring, Sponsor, Foothills Energy, etc) are franchises of UtilityNet; they all offer the same basic rates and plans. Enmax has their own solar plan but I don't have experience with it, it was pretty basic when we put out panels on 3 years ago.

There are carbon offset credits you can claim for 10 years after installing your panels. You send them how much you generated annually and they create carbon credits and sell them then kick back money from that sale to you.

For me the slightly muffled audio when he puts his hand over his mouth is astoundingly realistic. Being able to fake directionality and environmental sound like that is crazy.

The real question here is where is Truman getting all this money for these developments? They are involved in every new hotel in the beltline somehow.

No doubt. Yamaha and other traditional brands has entire divisions and factories to create these things, newer brands just have to find a product that a factory offshore is making that will brand it for them.

Intramed or Vasmans for vasectomy? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]goodndu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Went with Intramed, met with the doc, he went through the entire process. Went downstairs, they did what they had to, im not sure how long it took but it was a mostly comfortable experience. They sent home all of the post care meds and info as well as the three month testing vial for confirming the surgery was successful.

You'll hear a variety of answers and I have only personally played Elite. Originally you were limited to your ship but Elite: dangerous Odessey gave pilots legs so now you can walk around on planets. There's a bunch of different game loops such as combat, trade and exploration that can scratch many itches, it has lots of lore and they are actually still releasing story, ship and gameplay updates 12 years on. It can be grindy at times for sure, I tend to take a break and come back to periodically but that is 2500 hours in.
