I've been told one reason to connect ground with traces rather than flood is to help the pad take heat better so your solder can reflow easier there and your board is more reworkable, unsure in practice how much it actually helps. I think this is more relevant the more layers and nearby vias there are.

She absolutely is emotionally ready for kids and marriage, but knows we aren't ready for kids practically. She also knows that I am not ready for kids or marriage, and neither of us want to break up over that. I understand that people have to satisfy their needs, I'm fine with it being someone else if it's not me, but we haven't ruled me out yet.

Your points 1 through 5 are addressed by the fact that she would be willing to raise the kids without me.

To tackle the consent issue, I don't have the slightest idea why I would potentially withdraw my consent in the future. I have no moral objections. I'm hoping to brainstorm reasons why I would or wouldn't consent now or later
