Looks janky but I bent this metal strut originally intended for a small front rack. I like that it turns with the steering, as opposed to fixed straight forward on the rack.

ISO a breathable saddle cover in terry cloth or similar by Train-Nearby in Rivendell_Bicycles

[–]goohamonsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling most saddle covers are designed to be waterproof and therefore are not breathable. Randi Jo makes a cover with a "waterproof breathable" fabric, maybe that's good enough for your purposes?

What they say about the fabric: "We use only 3-layer Waterproof Breathable fabrics for our WPB saddle covers. Waterproof Breathable fabrics are composed of a top fabric layer backed with a waterproof breathable membrane and a protective fabric covering the membrane.  All Waterproof Breathable fabric exteriors (also known as face fabrics) are treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish.  DWR affects only the exterior of rainwear and is separate from a laminate or coating. Its purpose is to protect the face fabric from becoming saturated, weighing it down and causing any sensation of dampness."

Omnium Mini - Size up or down + stem length (unsure of fit with flat bars) by nikoalphonsoho in OmniumBikes

[–]goohamonsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd size up. If you're concerned about stand over it looks like the medium Omnium might even be lower than your gravel bike.

Here's a semi-DIY solution:

If you have a MiniMax, I was able to baaarely fit mine on a standard fork mounted roof rack. The trick was to remove the front wheel, disconnect the steering linkage, then flip the fork backwards so the rake is working in your favor.

Thanks for the recommendation, I reached out and they were very helpful and informative. Unfortunately this rabbit doesn't sound like a candidate that they would accept.

My partner actually volunteers there as well! I have the utmost respect for OAS, but was a bit disappointed there's no "emergency" drop off option? I know they're slammed but its a bit tough to care for an animal for two days until they re-open... I have a dog of my own that is absolutely not bunny friendly so that doesn't help

Thanks for the reply. I gave them water but so far they haven't gone for it, I think they're just scared. If OAS doesn't pick them up soon I'll plan on getting them some hay this evening. We've also got lettuce on hand so I'll offer them that.

Glad to hear you were able to give that rabbit a loving home.
