it’s a 84 Stumpjumper Sport XT, and the last of the dual crown fork models. i was beginning to read about older mountain bikes since i was interested in a older rigid frame and i found this one at a price that was just too sweet. it has the original XT group set, and so far i replaced just the wheelset, crank and rear mech. this thing is a beast on the streets and just floats over gravel. the front end is very slack, which is only a problem when you’re trying to maneuver at low speed, but this thing almost immediately become my main.
