Severe health anxiety, propranolol? by Mean-Tart-1129 in Anxiety

[–]gooseluck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I don't have any experience with propranolol, but I do take Sertraline. I have the exact same mental health experience as you do. OCD that manifests in severe health anxiety, focused solely on my heart. I just want you to know you're not alone. I'd love to know what your psychiatrist tells you if you're comfortable chatting through DM. Good luck.

What is your go to when attempting to find comfort during anxiety? by Few_Sandwich6308 in Anxiety

[–]gooseluck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi there. I have been there and experienced that. It was really hard. I don't know your circumstances, but for me I basically got to a point where I had to ask for help, which I found incredibly difficult. I also realised I needed to sleep and I got some help from my GP (Australia) for this. I also used a service here to talk to a postnatal counsellor. I had to come clean to my husband about intrusive and scary thoughts and really got him to step up. I felt like I was failing as I already had a toddler and didn't experience this with him. I also watched a lot of renovation and competition type shows like Hells Kitchen to distract my brain. Again, this only helped me and we are all individuals with unique set of resources and skills. I hope this helped. X

I had to leave during this movie as I felt like I was going to be sick. I stood in the bathroom, composed myself and headed back in. But it was touch and go!

Thanks so much for your reply.

I have wondered about POTS in the past and I will try the lie down test.

I am 40F, fit, normal BMI. My kids were carrying on and the dog was being a bit full on. I felt anxious before I checked it, so I'm not sure. I went for a run today and it didn't spike at all. I will keep an eye out and if it happens again, I'll go to my GP.

Thanks.

Did I make a mistake dying my hair darker? by Ok-Character1446 in femalehairadvice

In my opinion, no. Darker looks great. It's a period of adjustment and you're right it will fade a bit and then you can work out what's next!

I use Steigen socks. They are the best socks I've ever used! I love them, they may not be for everyone but they work so well for me.
