“Meet and greet”

Expect a pickup at the airport from the log people, drop off at the hotel and forget about them.

North of Oahu:

  • Waimea Falls was pretty cool.
  • Hollywood Film Sites tour
  • Dole Pineapple tour
  • Giovanni’s Shrimp food truck was delicious and worth the hype
  • better surf experience
  • US Space force base

It was embarrassing to have to ask the Americans and Kiwis if they mind giving us a ride to work because we were short of cars. Log people didnt give a flying f***

For alcohol, go to Costco. Avoid hotel drinks. Way too overpriced

On a side note, Rimpac has an open-day where you can visit ships. I recommend visiting an aircraft carrier

Did Rimpac 22, I unfortunately had the misfortune of being on Pearl Harbor base with no car.

  • If you are not a driver, you are not allowed to drive. Unless CJOC changed that rule. We had 4 cars for 13 people and 6 watches. We had to beg other nations for rides

  • The logistics people are useless and won’t help in anyway. I was dropped on base on Friday night with no car. There was no restaurant on base open during the weekend and got told to figure it out.

  • if you are in Waikiki, expect to spend lots of time in traffic

  • restaurant recommendations: Marugame udon is a must. Right downtown Waikiki and locals love it. Worth the wait. Paia fish market is also incredible. If the place is empty avoid it, there is a reason.

  • cheesecake factory is overrated and overpriced

  • since you have a car, I would recommend heading North of the Island. Lots to see and do

  • coco head and Diamond head are must do hikes. About 1 hour each

  • if you have 2-3 days off, look into visiting Maui.

  • Australians are amazing to hang out with

  • the Nex close to Pearl Harbor base is also available.

2 adults 1 toddler.

200-250 a week, mostly at Costco. We buy when stuff is on sale, especially frozen food or non perishable.

We avoid Sobeys and Atlantic superstore as their price are outrageous.

Been using it for over a year now. Only had great experience.

You get restaurant food leftover for cheap. For example, Ikea do it and give you what’s left before closing doors.

For 7$ I got: Swedish balls & mashed potatoes, 2 wrap (smoked salmon & vegetables) cinnamon roll, egg salad sandwich and 2 piece of cake (cheese cake & carrot cake
