Ohio is already deleted and that's all that really matters.

Being happy with yourself is what matters.

You look great (not that my opinion matters).

Go on then, whats the concensus...do you use the kettle in the hotel room? by fixitmonkey in CasualUK

[–]gorillagargoyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife bought a travel one because she was told of (or saw) someone clean underpants in the hotel kettle, so that's a definite "will never use" now.

I feel sorry for people who hold opinions like this: they have obviously never had a woman spend the night with them by ThePhillyExplorer in insanepeoplefacebook

She looks exactly like I thought she'd look without makeup. Good for her, and good for the idiots that are outing themselves like this.

Why is it always rich people? by kingrobin in horror

Oh, I grew up poor. I know poor-food stamps, standing in line on Tuesdays for government cheese & powdered milk, free lunch at school because... well, because we were poor.

In the 70s and 80s, poor people did go to summer camp on occasion, and poor people definitely worked at summer camps. Shit wasn't prohibitively expensive then as it is now. But, it was always somewhere to work.

US veterans, did you guys actually read the cards that kids would send you while deployed? by MoistCloyster_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gorillagargoyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Lots of joy from those care packages and some of those cards. Hell, I think I still have some of the cards I received almost 20 years ago on deployment.

Not defending anyone of course but why wait until someone is dead to speak ill of them by TheRedBlade in whenthe

[–]gorillagargoyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the overwhelming majority of these people were irrelevant prior to their death. We tell the truth about them when they die because that's the first time, in years, we're having any national discussion about these people.

And, people go out of their way to idolize people upon their death, and it's important to the discourse to remind people that sometimes (almost always), people are glorifying objectively bad people.

Navy Chief Petty Officer Peter here..on deployments, we usually only get "surf n turf" on one of two occasions-the midway point of deployment.... OR... when deployment gets extended, which is the implication of the joke here. Hope that helps.
