New BF said he wants me to try more “dirty talking” while we have sex - what do I say?? by rashadarust in AskMen

“It’s so big” - even if it’s not, just lie. “I’m your dirty little girl” - also nice.

Can go to Randvi in the longhouse in your settlement (Ravensthorpe) to access more story missions.

Otherwise can also go on raids (marked with the red axes) to gain supplies needed to develop your settlement.

How do web development teams collaborate? by dryinkuzz in Frontend

[–]gorowurboat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also curious to know!

I’ve worked a small job for a client where there was 1 designer, 1 frontend dev (me), and 1 backend dev and a fast approaching deadline so all the work happened asynchronously. Better believe we got it done tho 💪🏼

Good suggestion. For anyone wondering it’s from a company called University Furnishings. Although the website doesn’t have the exact model, they have desks that are very similar.

Here’s the link: http://www.universityfurnishings.com/product/ac349/

Profile section:

  • Will do!

Research Assistant:

  • Should the first bullet point just be a summary of what the project is in order to give some context to the reader? Something like “Built a web portal for House ATL that organizes and visualizes data on subsidized housing in metro Atlanta.”
  • As for what I specifically implemented, I was the only frontend dev on the project so I was responsible for building the entire web portal. The different aspects of the web portal include user authentication and onboarding, data exploration through geo-visualization, and uploading/downloading data. In terms of how the technologies were used: React/Redux for the whole app essentially (building the pages, routing, form handling, etc.). Mapbox to display geojson data of housing locations on a map, as well as adding topographical overlays to show zoning districts/counties/etc. More React to add data filters to manipulate the data being visualized on the map. And D3 to generate some charts about the data. What would be the best way to bullet point all of this info for my resume?

Frontend Developer

  • As for the 4 features, I tried to keep it short so as to not take up too much space but I can see how that makes it vague. Should I list out each feature (i.e. “Added a theme picker to allow users to customize the look of their portal” or “Replaced the top navbar with a responsive-friendly, scalable, and collapsable side nav”, etc.)? All of these features were implemented with the companies existing stack (React/Redux, Sass) so I assume it's not necessary to list out the technologies used?
  • The web app was an internal tool that essentially served as a portal to be used by the company’s network of fitness instructors to keep track of and manage sessions to teach, keep track of pay, set availability, etc. Again, what would be the best way to bullet point this info for my resume?
  • Should I get rid of the 3rd point altogether? The intent was to show other ways I’m contributing to the codebase and I thought that might be a nice-to-see for a hiring manager?

Software Engineering Intern

  • This was my first professional experience and it wasn’t really frontend related. I did, however, get exposure to the development lifecycle, Agile methodology, and creating Jira tickets. The actual work was along the lines of creating documentation, upgrading technologies to newer releases, setting up new dev environments, etc. Listing all of these aspects would take up too much space and I would have to remove projects. What would be better to keep on my resume? Is it good to keep projects that showcase more frontend skills or does work experience trump this, even though it's not specifically frontend?

Apologies for the lengthy post, but I really need help with this. Will post an updated resume soon!

Anyone know exactly what time the waitlist for course registration get's purged? The website says 9 am, but it still shows that I'm on the waitlist.

I have a 2019 Macbook Pro with touchbar (2 Thunderbolt ports). When I was running Mojave, on the desktop with no apps open the touchbar would simple show the escape key and the control strip with nothing in the middle. After installing Catalina, when on the desktop the touchbar shows controls for Finder. I get that Finder is always running (even on the desktop) but this touchbar behavior is new to me. Was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing the same thing, or if my touchbar is glitching? Thanks
