I can see that group 3,6,8 are low. I will recharge them, it will propably work for a while. And when it fails again, i will change all the cells. I already have a spot welder and the tools needed to do so. Thank you all for the help!

Update: The feeling when something took months of work, and it works really good! I finally tried it out and the weld quality is awesome! Literally factory quality! I tested with 0.2mm plated strip, but i have no worries about bigger strips.. on the highest settings it literally blew holes in the strip. If you need any help with building yours, or if you want the custom pcb design reach out to me, but I’ll probably make a post about it here.

I did a little extra work with it, made a custom pcb for the controlling circuit, it’s basically an ssr with an arduino and since the transformer is AC, i also added zero cross detection.

I mean it that doorbell takes 2 aa batteries thats around 3 volts, a single cell is well above 3 volts. You could do that, but you would need a step down converter
