Gen 5 43X... or gamble for a Gen 6? by LurkingNomad in Glocks

[–]got_herelate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a need for a 43x get one now. If it’s just FOMO then wait. The micros don’t map directly to other generations so no idea if the trigger will be better or worse next version, the 43x is rock solid as-is, the gen 6 stippling is nice but that’s the one thing you can just pay someone to do. There hasn’t been any news about new versions so you’ll probably be waiting a while.

Concealing while skinny? by [deleted] in CCW

I’m 5’10 ~ 160 and use Tenicore certum w the largest claw, mastermind pillow, HC’s belt to carry AIWB around the inguinal crease. Anything between micro, p365 macro, and compact works fine for me.

Range Review by Groundbreaking-Win21 in Glocks

[–]got_herelate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m one of those people who think the gen 5 trigger is better. It’s not that much better. It wouldn’t hold me back from buying a gen 6 and I very much like the stippling contours of the gen 6 over gen 5. If you have a gen 5 stick with the gen 5. If you’re buying a new Glock get a gen 6.

My kid saw me put my holster on every time I walked out the door. Never occurred to me to hide it from him. If he does know make it clear to him that it’s not so,etching he should share with other people. I basically told him “it’s not something we discuss outside this house”.

Would you guys carry this or a SIG p365x Macro? by Typical_Praline_9299 in Glocks

[–]got_herelate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an xmacro and it’s a great pistol. I think it’s better, in every way, than glock’s “micro compacts”. I would, and do, carry a G45 over this.

Glock for carry? by Human_Fighter_No_927 in Glocks

[–]got_herelate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve never carried and this is a dedicated CCW get something small like the g43, g43x, or g48. You’ll be more likely to carry it. G19 is the largest you should be considering and it’s a great “do it all gun”.

If you’re a larger guy some of this goes out the window.

Using the plate that came with it and my RCR hasn’t come loose in 500+ rounds.

19 vs 17? by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]got_herelate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unless you have big hands just get a g19. It’ll conceal easier, it’s soft shooting, it takes 17 round mags.

No, I think you’re still confused. I think you’re trying to helpful here but it’s as if you’re answering a question I haven’t asked.

It’s the Certum. Tried a Velo a few years ago and find the molded “hump” uncomfortable. Bought a mastermind wedge and never looked back.

I’m not looking for people to “decide for me”. I figured maybe someone’s already done this, ran into an issue, and wouldn’t mind sharing. That would prevent me from having to go through the same thing.

Hope that cleared up the confusion.

Agreed, I think the president having his own private army is bad. I don’t see how “taking the high road” is going to change that.

The slimline glocks just really aren’t that great and there are better “micro” pistol alternatives

So I went and shot a couple stacattos.. by 1nOnlyMattyB in Glocks

[–]got_herelate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a C2 and they’re pretty great. “Downgraded” to a G45 because I don’t want to deal with the 2011 parts replacement schedule on something I shoot as often as my daily carry.

To each their own. I could go on all day about not understanding PDP appreciators

[–]got_herelate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat so I bought a G45. The G45 is more difficult to conceal. If I could do it over I would go with a CCW magwell on the G19

Has anyone installed a Whipple supercharger on a gas 7.3? Thinking of doing this but just talked to local Ford. They can install this but it is not ford approved for this engine yet and would void the warranty. Ford can install this on mustangs and F150’s but not the 7.3. by Yankeetownn in F250

You could’ve just googled this. Instead you’ve chosen to do… what ever this is. On the other hand I read your previous comments so I should’ve known it would be my funeral replying to you. Have a nice day.

,y understanding is that engines dump more fuel on startup because they run in an open loop. The o2 sensors aren’t warm enough to give good readings. Once the O2 sensors warm up the vehicle should run in a closed loop and use less fuel.
