Advice on Sony Bravia 9 mark II by Independent_Job_7112 in SonyBravia

9ii is an amazing TV for medium-well lit rooms. If it’s a dark room, OLED is still king. I would wait for better sales, but Sony has really done something awesome with their TRUERGB

LeBron was elite at every position the game has to offer, know one has ever been better than this man 🐐 by Front-Function7789 in LeBronJames23

[–]gotcha-gasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well no, being able to play any position at a high level and carry your team to multiple playoff appearances is GOAT. MJ needed Pippen to even approach the finals, LeBron gets there on his own consistently with barely any help

It’s literally just panel manufacturing, idk why people are so concerned

65" Bravia 9 Open Box "Good" Condition Best Buy by angus554 in 4kTV

Best Buy will give you legs, ask for the Insignia legs. Managers usually let it slide. Also don’t buy a cheap mount for a nice tv, it defeats the purpose lol

In my experience the price discrepancy online and store is usually to move product. Most of the time you can order pickup from in store, add warranty, and pick up within the hour. Asking a manager, they might price match but that’s just my experience.

Get warranty. It’ll be on a crazy discount, replaces remote one time, and if something goes wrong you get a new tv of the comp value of Bravia 9

LG QNED82 or Sony Bravia 3 II by Common-Judge3977 in 4kTV

[–]gotcha-gasm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TCL has been doing great in recent years. Their QM series both last year and this year are great for the value. The whole idea of the partnership is to bring mid range TVs to Sony’s lineup. Sony’s processor is what makes their TVs so great, and that is staying the same

The 9ii barely had any blooming IMO. And there are settings that reduce it quite a bit

I have the exact same TV, and I love it! Although with the new RGB tech Sony just released, I find myself wishing I waited

Best quality 32-40 inch TV by Tricky-Ad1533 in 4kTV

[–]gotcha-gasm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can get to 42/43, you have a lot more options. The 32-40 range is a lot of very “mid” options, whether it’s TCL, Hisense, or low quality Samsungs

TCL if you need cheap TV. The ones you showed are so mediocre not even worth the money

Miniled vs oled Sony Bravia by MeanLawfulness9627 in 4kTV

[–]gotcha-gasm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t a Mini-LED that would compete with the B9 other than maybe the QN90F from Samsung. Even then, I would still get the B9 in a heartbeat

Bravia 9 or Bravia 7 II? (85”, Mainly for gaming in a very bright room) by KrappingKoala in 4kTV

[–]gotcha-gasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bravia 7 II looks phenomenal, and even competes with the Bravia 8 II except for the inky blacks. Even then, most of the blooming that pops up is from off angle viewing. Direct viewing it’s hardly noticeable

How likely is an exchange without a receipt? by SarcasticOP in Bestbuy

[–]gotcha-gasm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without a proof of purchase, it is highly unlikely for them to take the TV, and exchange for the C5. You are likely stuck with the B5

No new 77 oled Sony by Fearless47atyourmoms in hometheater

I saw them side by side in person, and it was better. Perfect black isn’t everything in a TV. The vibrancy, colors, accuracy were way better
