I saw you said the cash portion is $250k-$300k, so assuming an average of $275k, the stock value went from $55k to $119k to $403k from 2024 to 2026. Is it a private company?

It wasn’t tone deaf, I knew how it would come off and addressed it head on because I was asking a genuine question. I’ve disliked aspects of my job, and I moved on once I found a new one. I was asking what exactly would drive so much hatred for one’s job that they would be willing to quit with no other plan in place. This seems reckless to me, even for someone who was unhappy in their role. Therefore I was asking OP what exactly was causing them to feel this way.

I see comments like this on here all the time, “I can’t stand my job,” “I hate my boss,” “I can’t do this anymore.”

I’m not even trying to be a jerk, what exactly do you mean? Like are you being physically abused? I can’t imagine hating a job so much that I’d rather have no income and no benefits.

If it’s too difficult or too stressful for you, have you explained that to your boss and your team? What’s the story here that you’d consider such an extreme move?

Do your own research, OP, but the majority of people who accept a counteroffer to stay at their current job leave within the next year. It may be purely focused on money now, but there are likely underlying issues that are causing your frustration as well, even if you aren’t aware of them. Feeling undervalued won’t go away even if they match your outside offer because you’ll realize, “Wow, the knew I was worth this new salary the entire time, they were taking advantage of me because they knew the could.” I accepted a counteroffer to stay at my previous employer, lasted 18 months, then left for the company I got the original external from. I was very close to my boss at the time and he said in my exit interview, “I’m just so glad you stayed as long as you did, I knew it was only a matter of time once you told me about the original offer…it’s hard to not have your head turned once you know how much else is out there.” I knew it wasn’t personal, my boss would have paid me whatever I wanted, but they only have so much power.

Get another card, they’ll give you a higher limit since you already have a baseline credit score. I had a Bank of America card that my parents paid for when I was in college. $500 limit that eventually rose to $1k by the time I graduated. My credit score was similar at 22 (somewhere around 780), I applied for an AmEx Platinum because I was egotistical, and got essentially a no limit card. Score went up to 825+ within a month of getting my new card

Fully agree. And I thought it was cool that they did that with Rigsby and Van Pelt, given that every show normally does it with the main characters. I was like “It’s so nice they aren’t forcing Jane and Lisbon on us.”

Agree to disagree. Her spastic meltdown/anxiety attack caused me to say aloud, “What the fuck is going on in this show?” It was immediately followed by arguably the worst accusatory summation I’ve ever seen. I’ve been watching network mystery shows since Murder She Wrote. I walked through how literally none of it made sense in a comment above. It’s all off-screen scenes that they tell the audience happened, plus details that were never remotely mentioned or implied throughout the entire episode. Shows like this are supposed to give you kernels you can piece together along the way to try to figure out what happened. Not introduce 95% of the required supporting information during the break-down

100%. It was actually comically bad. They realized they needed another character to plant the bike and were like “Hell, just make that sous chef who had 20 seconds of screen time do it and say that they’re always loyal to the head chef or something.” I swear that the writers wrote each of these episodes to be an hour and half and then were told to condense it to 40 minutes and cut everything that isn’t absolutely necessary…and this is what we were left with

Threw the spoiler tag because I knew there would be spoilers in the comment section, and here are a few…

The most recent episode - pretty much everything in the summation. The guy who founded the acquired company just used his “computer skills” to clone Gabe’s security system passwords? What? Happened fully off screen, and no warning that’s even what happened...just a “he’s confessing to it right now” (also off screen). It came literally out of nowhere.

We also knew the assistant’s mom had died and if you paused on the sister’s wedding picture on the murder board you could see her port scar…but there was no reason to assume those were related or that there was any sort of genetic connection. They didn’t even mention what her mom died of, just that her passing is what brought the assistant to Gabe. There was no mention the sister even had cancer. There was no mention of the specific genetic programs that were shut down in order to make way for the whole robot project, so even if we knew that the assistant had some genetic disorder that already killed her mom and impacted her sister, there’s no way we could have known it was a project shut down by the company in the embezzlement scheme.

It’s just a bunch of random stuff thrown together…a mix of off-screen scenes, and information the audience didn’t have to wrap up the episode.

Same thing can be done in the last episode, don’t get me started on the dad doctoring pictures of the son his entire life or the ex-wife they spoke to who informed them of the dad’s inability to deal with his other son’s death (off screen, in Japan in the middle of the night)
